Falun Gong Practitioners Endure Endless, Intensive Forced Labour at Langfang City Detention Centre

Whoever is sent to Langfang City Detention Centre learns that the forced labour there is extremely intensive and unendurable. There are always countless beans waiting to be picked and chopsticks waiting to be wrapped up. The person in charge assigns daily jobs to every detainee. Detainees who are unable to finish their assignments, are punished by either not being allowed to sleep or by being given evening duty. They are forced to work more than 10 hours every day. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Shiping Dies After Tremendous Physical and Mental Torture
2004-02-03Ms. Gao Shiping, aged 58, was a resident of the surrounding area of Zhangjiakou City. In April 2001, while Ms. Gao was farming in the field, she was arrested by local police and sent to the Gaoyang Labour Camp for forced brainwashing. When she returned home in the spring of 2003, her health had seriously deteriorated from the physical and mental torture she had endured in the labour camp. She died on December 19, 2003. -

2004-02-03"Seeing that she refused to submit, they tied her to the back of a van and pulled her along to a broken down shed, where she was made to stand and not allowed to sleep unless she gave up her practice. They tied her arms to the back and hung her up, with her toes barely touching the ground. Adding to her agony, they shocked her with an electric baton. Ma collapsed four times, and she suffered from cardiac problems from the damage done by the high voltage electric baton. For six months afterwards, she was unable to lift up her arms." -
Policewoman in Dalian Labour Camp Subjects Female Dafa Practitioners to Horrendous Torture
2004-02-03Policewoman Yuan Lingyue is the captain of Team Three in the Women's Division of Dalian City Labour Camp, in Liaoning Province. Team Three is specifically used for detaining and torturing female Falun Gong practitioners. Yuan is thirty-three years old and lives in the Lubo Residential Area of the Shahekou District in Dalian City. She is known to be vicious and deceitful. Yuan was so cruel that the guards were even terrified of her. They would say behind her back, "She's just too vicious." -
Atrocities at the Tangshan City Forced Labour Camp - Using the "Deadly Strings" that Cut into Flesh
2004-02-03One day in December of 2003, a prison guard at the Hehuakeng Labour Camp in Tangshan City had a "heart-to-heart talk" with the Falun Gong practitioners incarcerated there. When talking about how other labour camps "transformed" Falun Gong practitioners, he said, "We are more moderate. We only use 300,000-volt electric batons, wooden clubs, deadly strings, and bind you to the bed. We have never buried you alive like they did." -

The international community has already condemned the slave labour practices that exist in China's forced labour camp system. Falun Dafa practitioners are being persecuted and held in prisons and labour camps simply because they live as upright and virtuous people and for following the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in their daily lives. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Shuli Dies as a Result of Torture at the Tangshan City Labour Camp
2004-02-01Each session of "Tightening Rope" lasts ten to twenty minutes. After the rope is loosened, the victim has lost the feeling in his arms, and it takes a long time to regain it. For those who have experienced this torture, their arms are often disabled in severe cases, or they cannot raise their arms or they lose some function in the arms. The marks left on the arms by the rope usually don't disappear for one or two years. -
Horrific Treatment Meted out to Dafa Practitioners in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp and Hospital
2004-02-01The group leader of the inmate guards, Wang Xiaohong, was sentenced to three years of forced labour for drug trafficking. Prison guard Yu Fangli has taken a 400 yuan bribe from Wang Xiaohong. Wang is used for torturing Falun Gong practitioners. In exchange for her services and for the bribe, Wang Xiaohong can even use her mobile phone to organise drug trafficking from the forced labour camp hospital. -
Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp Claims to Be the "Palace for the King of Hell"
2004-02-01The police tied one female practitioner 14 times--until her shoulders were bleeding. They also said, "If you don't transform, we'll drive you insane!" In the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp, practitioners are routinely beaten and shocked. One female police officer told the Falun Gong practitioners, "When you come here, you come to the Palace of the King of Hell." -
Harrowing Account of Dafa Practitioner's Experience in Zhangshi Forced Labour Camp
2004-01-31My name is Wang Liren. I am 52 years old, and I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who started practising in 1995. On January 31, 2003, I was arrested when distributing truth-clarification materials telling about the persecution of Falun Dafa. In the police station, they cuffed my hands and feet to a metal chair and punched my head with their fists. The police van driver used an electric heater to scorch my face. After being tortured for one day and one night, I was sent to the Administrative Detention Centre in the Shenyang City Police Department, where I was kept for 37 days. -
Practitioners Tortured With Homemade Drill Causing Gaping Wounds and Exposing Bones in Jiutai Labour Camp
2004-01-31"They stuffed a dirty towel into my mouth then started to drill into my armpits and behind my knees with a homemade drill that consisted of a hard plastic tube with four cuts at the end. They kept drilling this hard plastic tube into me for more than ten minutes while I was screaming with pain. When the policeman became tired he called in another assistant to keep drilling. The assistant thought I was dead, I heard him saying he could see the white bone through a hole they drilled under my arm." -
The Ceaseless Torture of Dafa Practitioners In the Dalian Labour Camp
2004-01-30At the Dalian Labour Camp in Liaoning Province, Falun Gong practitioners are brutally tortured. However, because information from inside is tightly blocked, outsiders barely know anything about the true situation.The police force practitioners to do hard labour twelve to sixteen hours a day and forbid them from talking to each other. Police direct inmates to persecute those very determined practitioners. If they refuse to be "brainwashed," then they are forced to stand for extended periods of time without moving. Some were forced to stand for six days straight. -
Sixty-Year-Old Lady from Inner Mongolia Dies After Being Released from Labour Camp
2004-01-28While in detention the police tortured her relentlessly. A once healthy elderly lady was turned into a person plagued with illnesses. The labour camp hospital diagnosed her illness as breast cancer. Not wanting to take any responsibility, the camp released her on medical parole. After Ms. Wang returned home, she went to her work unit to ask for her pensions. However, her work unit colluded with the "610 Office" and heartlessly again sent her to labour education. -
The Dalian Labour Camp Exploits Dafa Practitioners to Earn More than 1,500,000 Yuan a Year
2004-01-28For example, practitioners could not talk, nor could they move their lips, close their eyes, cross their legs, or even have their legs touching each other when sitting. They were rarely allowed to use the toilet during the work time and they had no more than 10 minutes to use the facilities, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If they had an urgent need to use the toilet, it had to be authorised by the room leader, the team leader, and the Captain. There was no time allowed for bowel movements, which was said to be "too time consuming." Practitioners had to wait until bedtime. As a result, many people developed constipation, haemorrhoids and were in great pain. -
The Brutal Tortures Suffered by Dr. Wang Xiaodong
2004-01-26Dr. Wang Xiaodong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Daqing City and a surgeon at the County Chinese Medical Hospital. Before he practiced Falun Gong, Dr. Wang suffered from chronic tuberculosis and hepatitis B. Dr. Wang's health quickly returned to normal after he started to practice Falun Gong in October 1998. Since then, he has conducted himself strictly according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." Always thinking of others before himself, he was admired by his colleagues.
