Spanish Screening of “Sandstorm” Triumphs at International Human Rights Film Festival in Barcelona

The film "Sandstorm" exposes the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and was recommended by human rights organisations in Spain, as well as the organiser of this film festival. People were shocked and frustrated that basic human rights and freedom of belief are still being seriously trampled on in China, even in the 21st Century. -
Russia: Practitioners from Pjatigorsk Introduce Falun Gong in Essentuky City

Practitioners held activities in the city of Essentuky to promote Falun Gong and show the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. A photo display detailing Falun Gong’s popularity all over the world was exhibited alongside practitioners’ art works. A demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises was followed by a poetry recital and traditional Chinese dancing. -

Geneva: Demonstrating Methods of Torture and Taking a Close Look at the Persecution

Passers-by stopped and were shocked at the scene. The adjacent posters answered their questions. These two people were demonstrating one method of torture suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China’s labour camps or prisons. The re-enacted method is a light one compared to some of the other kinds of torture methods used by the Chinese Communist Party in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. -

The practitioners’ re-enactment of a few of the brutal torture methods used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs shocked the Spanish people. People asked how they could help to stop the persecution. When they were told that their signatures were needed for the petition, they lined up to sign their names. -
Germany: People in Sauelach were Happy to Learn about Falun Gong

Practitioners set up a stall, some poster display boards and a banner reading "Falun Gong". Passers-by stopped to listen to the practitioners talk about the campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China and many people signed a petition calling for the instigator of the persecution, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice in a court of law. -
Celebrating Ten Years since Falun Gong’s introduction to Sweden (2)
2005-04-20In March 1995, I received a newspaper from a Chinese lady which had information about Falun Gong classes during Easter. I instantly decided to attend. I waited and looked forward to the class. When the day came, I went to the lecture hall with lots of questions in my heart. What was really incredible and amazing was that during the seven days of classes, I never had to actually ask any of the questions but Master Li still answered all of my questions one by one. -

On the 16th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from in and around Gothenburg gathered at the busy Baltesspannar Park in brilliant sunshine. They demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, distributed leaflets and presented the public with paper lotus flowers to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Falun Gong’s introduction to Sweden. -
Finland: Falun Gong was Very Popular at the Mikkeli Health Exhibition

A few practitioners in golden exercise suits performed the exercises to the graceful Falun Gong music and this attracted the attention of many people. They watched for a long time, asked for leaflets and even took extra leaflets for their relatives and friends. Some people bought books and exercise demonstration video tapes from the Falun Gong stall. -
Turkey: The Turkish Falun Gong Association is Officially Established
2005-04-18Turkish Falun Gong practitioners received a formal notice on the 10th of April that the Turkish Falun Gong Association has been officially established. This is the second Falun Gong Association to be established in Eastern Europe this year, after the Polish Falun Gong Association was officially formed in February. The founding of the Falun Gong Association illustrates Turkey’s recognition and welcome of Falun Gong. -
Italy: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Aosta City Receives People's Warm Support

On the streets in the town centre, we set up our display boards and held an anti-torture exhibition. Local people taking a walk at the weekend and tourists all stopped to watch the re-enactments of the torture methods employed by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. -
Germany: Activities in Chamer to Raise Awareness of the Persecution

Lots of people in Chamer understand that Falun Gong is being wrongly persecuted. Nevertheless, it is still very hard for people living in free, democratic countries to imagine how a despotic communist regime controls the thoughts and behaviour of its citizens. So on the last weekend of March, practitioners decided to hold an anti-torture exhibition. -
Russia: Anti-torture Exhibition at the Chinese Embassy to Call for an End to the Persecution

Practitioners from Moscow and other areas of Russia gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy. A series of information boards were put on display to exhibit the various forms of torture that the communist regime uses in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. They demanded that the persecution be stopped and the prime culprits be brought to justice.
