However, the employees at the funeral parlour did not comply with the police's request. When the child offered his respects to the father, the personnel from Daqing City Prison insisted on being present for the whole time. A police officer from Daqing City Prison shed tears of sympathy when he saw Yu's son kneel down in front of his father and burn some paper money. -
Severe Trauma from Beatings Leads to Death of Dafa Practitioner
2003-04-13At 9 pm on March 11, 2003, policemen went to Chen Xiangrui's home and knocked on the door while shouting loudly. Mr. Chen's family refused to open the door. These policemen then broke down the door. From the start, they beat and kicked Mr. Chen while they dragged him out and forced him into their van. Policemen pulled Mr. Chen and at the same time cursed, "We will beat you, the stubborn Falun Gong member to death when we go back today." When Mr. Chen was dragged into the van, they shoved him face down under the seat, and police held him down with one foot on his body. Witnesses to this event were numerous as the policemen were quite loud, causing a big disturbance. -
Woman Dafa Practitioner Recounts Cruel Persecution in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2003-04-13The hostile environment and physical tortures caused my menstruation to stop for eight-and-a-half months. At the end of October 2000, I started to have difficulty speaking. Later I had to write down what I wanted to say. Political chief Li Shuhuan ordered four to five people to carry me to the hospital. The preliminary x-ray that I had at Shenyang City Medical College showed that I had thyroiditis. Later, my physical condition continued to worsen. Sometimes I could not even lie on my back to sleep. I had difficulty breathing, and I could not freely move my neck. -
The Persecution of a Former Soldier
2003-04-13Since the start of the persecution on July 20, 1999, the cadres in the Army who practised Falun Gong were transferred to civilian work, and soldiers who practised Falun Gong were forced to leave the Army. Communist Party members who practised Falun Dafa were forced to leave the Party. Companies or units within the Army were forbidden from accepting Falun Gong practitioners. -

She decided to study and practise with the Falun Gong practitioners. The police tried to stop her by shackling her legs for 15 days, but she didn't give in. Dafa Practitioner Ruthlessly Beaten to Death by Maoming City Police
2003-04-11Guangdong Province Judicial Department sent guards from the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp to study its criminal methods for persecuting Dafa practitioners. After coming back from their study, they used an abominable eight to ten electric batons to shock Dafa practitioners and also instigated criminal inmates to torture Dafa practitioners. -
Female Dafa Practitioner Killed by High-Voltage Electric Batons at Banqiao Forced Labour Camp
2003-04-11Practitioners went on a work strike to protest against the illegal persecution. The police then resorted to violence attempting to get practitioners back to work. Headed by an evil policeman named Kou, the police beat up and shocked every practitioner with highly lethal high-voltage electric batons. Many practitioners were severely injured. Ms. Li Shumin tragically died on the spot.
