Paralysed from the Neck Down, Zhou Jiangang Still Held in Undisclosed Location after Ten Years in Prison

January 10th, 2012 should have been the day that Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Jiangang was reunited with his family after ten years in prison. However, instead of releasing him, the Wuhan local government continued to hold him in an undisclosed location. Throughout the ten years of imprisonment, Zhou Jiangang suffered inhuman treatment. He almost lost his life. On April 25th, 2006, he was forced to face the wall in handcuffs and shackles. Guards ordered criminal inmates to hit Mr. Zhou with a heavy object from behind, causing compound fracture of his 6th and 7th cervical vertebra; he passed out immediately. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Tan Jinhui, 67, from Sichuan Province Passed Away Due to Persecution
2012-05-12Over the past ten years, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tan Jinhui from Sichuan Province was continually persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because of her belief. Her home was ransacked, she was detained, send to forced labour, a brainwashing centre and prison. Ms. Tan passed away on September 25th, 2011, after a long period of physical deterioration brought on by abuse in detention. She was 67 years old. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Systematically Murdered for Their Organs: Refuting the Chinese Regime's "Death Row" Explanation, Preface and Table of Contents
2012-05-11Between 1999 and 2007, China's organ transplant market experienced rapid growth. In 2003, the number of organ transplants in China mushroomed. From 2003 to 2006, a record number of overseas "organ transplant tourists" rushed to China, attracted by the incredibly short average waiting periods of only one to two weeks, compared to waiting periods ranging from two to three years in other countries. This begs the question: Where did all these transplant-ready organs come from? In March 2006, when a whistleblower alerted the world to the possibility of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China, a potentially new source of organs emerged. -
“Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting” Urges the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to Provide Accurate and Verifiable Organ Transplant Statistics
2012-05-11Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) , an organization founded by medical doctors from all over the world, published a petition to Dr. Chen Zhu, Chinese Minister of Heath on its official website, requesting China (Chinese Communist Party) to provide accurate and transparent statistics and documentation of the source of organs in China to the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Medical Association (WMA) and The Transplantation Society (TTS). The organization stressed that discrepancies in the transplantation figures have raised concerns that in China organs are systematically harvested from unwilling living people. -
Ms. Wang Yuzhuo, a Physician from Heilongjiang Province, about to Complete Her 10-Year Prison Term
2012-05-11Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yuzhuo was sentenced to ten years in prison in 2002. Her term expired on May 1st, 2012. Her family has been contacted to pick her up, but they are worried that the local 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) may take Ms. Wang directly to a brainwashing centre instead of releasing her. During the ten years of imprisonment, Ms. Wang was subjected to severe physical abuse and torture. She was once forced to sit on a small stool facing a wall all day long without moving. She was also forced to stand still for long periods of time. She was hung up by handcuffs and suspended from a roof beam, with only the tips of her toes touching the ground. -
Chongqing Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jingzhi's Account of the Persecution Directed by Bo Xilai
2012-05-11For protesting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Zhang Jingzhi from Chongqing was subjected to brutal persecution directed by Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun. He was arrested and sentenced to a three-year prison term in August 2009, and subjected to severe beatings and "fatal torture" while imprisoned. -
First-Hand Experience of Brutality at Fanjiatai Prison
2012-05-10In March 2011, fourth ward warden Xiao Tianbo forced practitioners to perform slave labour. Mr. Liu Lin wrote a refusal letter, saying that we are practitioners, not criminals, and we refuse to perform slave labour. Deputy instructor Wang Jie led a group of people to the cell and slandered Falun Gong. I stood up to stop him. He was afraid, and he looked at the other four or five inmates and instructed them to push me onto the bed and to not allow me to speak. They kicked me in the head, waist, and chest for half an hour. I could not stand and was on the edge of losing consciousness. They were afraid and wanted to hold me up, but I could only fall over. This repeated several times. It was like I was almost in a coma. -
Tortured in Banqiao Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City, Ms. Wang Ruihua's Situation Worsens
2012-05-10Since Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Ruihua was arrested and detained at Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin last year, she has been subjected to mental and physical torture. Her situation is critical, as she has become emaciated, has difficulty swallowing food, has fainted a few time, and, because she is so weak, she can hardly walk. Her family has demanded her release and asked to bail her out for medical treatment many times, but the police have refused to comply. The explanation they gave was that Ms. Wang refused to be “transformed” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong]. -
Mr. Zhang Beiqi Given Additional Seven-Year Sentence After Eight Years of Wrongful Imprisonment and Torture
2012-05-10“Four days and three nights of torture made me lose consciousness. They poured cold water over my body and opened the window to freeze me. They pulled me along the ground, dragging me by my hair. They beat me with their fists. When they saw that I had lost consciousness, they tried to remove me from the tiger bench from where I fell onto the floor. They produced the prepared statements and forced my fingers onto the paper to get my fingerprints, taking advantage of the fact that I was unconscious. Ms. Wang Yuhua from Qinhuangdao City Holding Hunger Strike To Protest Persecution
2012-05-10Ms. Wang Yuhua is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qinhuangdao City in Hebei Province. She was arrested by police on April 11th, 2012, while explaining the facts about Falun Gong to a person at work. She is currently being detained at the Second Detention Station in Qinhuangdao City. She has been on a hunger strike for four days. -
As Two Physicians and a Teacher Finish Their Unjust Prison Terms, 610 Office Plots to Continue Persecuting Them
2012-05-09Three Falun Gong practitioners—Ms. Qi Shuyan, a physician; Ms. Yan Xihua, a teacher; and Ms. Wang Yuzhuo, a physician were due to finish their prison terms around late April/the beginning of May 2012. Shuangyashan City 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) contacted Ms. Qi's family and forbade them from picking her up from Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison in Harbin City. The agents attempted to take her to a brainwashing centre to continue persecuting her. -
Mr. Shao Zhongye, 60, from Liaoning Province Imprisoned and Tortured for Nine Years
2012-05-09Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shao Zhongye, who is from Dandong City in Liaoning Province, was arrested many times the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). During the 11 years from 1999 to 2010, he was in a forced labour camp for up to four years and sentenced to prison for five years. He suffered all kinds of torture during his nine years and 75 days in prison. His legs were paralysed at one time. Mr. Shao was once tortured almost to death in Benxi Prison. The evildoers ignited cigarettes and burned him all over his body. The burned skin emitted black smoke and the smell of burning flesh filling the air. -
Ms. Sun Tao Arrested, a Friend Barely Avoids Arrest
2012-05-09Since the beginning of 2012, the Hebei Province 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) has dispatched police officers at all levels to monitor Falun Gong practitioners by tapping phones, monitoring their comings and goings, and stalking. It was reported that they suspected Ms. Sun Tao delivered DVD cases for her friend during her school's winter break. On February 25th, about a dozen plainclothes officers suddenly appeared in force and took her away. Ms. Sun was transferred to the Shijiazhuang Second Detention Centre. Ms. Sun's friend, Ms. Qi Guoqin, who lives nearby, happened to pass by her car and say a few words to her, so Ms. Qi was also taken away. -
Ms. Li Ruihuan from Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, Missing for Ten Years
2012-05-09Ms. Li was arrested in Beijing in January 2002. Since that time, her whereabouts have been unknown. She was 55. In December 1999 and April 2000, Ms. Li and other Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Upon her return home, she was arrested and detained by police. Ms. Li and other practitioners again went to Beijing, on January 14th, 2002, to appeal for Falun Gong. They shouted, “Falun Gong is good!” Ms. Li was never seen again. It was reported that Ms. Li had been beaten by the Beijing police so severely that she could not walk. -
After Suffering Years of Relentless Persecution, Older Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Xu Jingxian Arrested Again
2012-05-08Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Jingxian was arrested by officers from the Pozijie Police Station on March 30th, 2012, while she distributed leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to people. She is being held in the Changsha City Detention Centre. In 2005, Ms. Xu and her family were arrested by police. Later, Ms. Xu was sentenced to three years in prison and jailed in Hunan Province Female Prison. While imprisoned there, she was forced to do slave labour for long hours every day. She was also tortured physically and mentally.
