Dafa Practitioner Wang Qiufeng Dies as a Result of Persecution in 2003

Dafa Practitioner Mrs. Wang Qiufeng, 42, was from a village in Heibei Province. She suffered several rounds of brutal persecution from abuse for five months in a detention centre. Her house was raided and the Public Security Bureau extorted two thousand yuan from her family. As a result her body and mind were devastated. She passed away in February 2003. -
Nine Practitioners from Hunan, Guizhou, Hebei, Sichuan and Shandong Provinces Were Persecuted to Death
2005-06-03One day in January 2001, Mr. and Mrs. Wang were taken to a police station in Longkou City. From 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., officer Yu Jiejun interrogated them as to whether they had distributed Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Gong. He brutally beat them, even though they were both in their 60's. Mr. and Mrs. Wang were beaten black and blue and to look at their faces was horrifying. Police officers constantly went to harass and threaten Mr. Wang. He was monitored at home and wasn't allowed to practise Falun Gong for a long time. He suffered a relapse and died on December 18, 2001. -
Appeal to Rescue Qinghua University Student Ms. Liu Zhimei
2005-06-02After July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong started in China, Ms. Liu, like many other Qinghua University undergraduates, was suspended from university and sent home. They were pressured in various ways and required to write "guarantee statements" of repentance and statements. If not, they were sacked from the university. Because Ms. Liu withstood all this pressure from the university and from her family and upheld her freedom of thought and belief, she was not allowed to resume her course work. To make a living she worked at a games arcade in her hometown. In May 2001, Beijing City Police Department personnel arrested her and sentenced her to one year of imprisonment. There has been no further information about Ms. Liu Zhimei. -
Zhou Jianhua and Other Police Officers at Hohhot City Prison Torture and Murder Falun Dafa Practitioners
2005-06-02Ms. Zhou Caixia was sent to the Hohhot City Prison on July 4, 2003. She never even lay down on her bed, nor was she allowed to sleep. The first day she was in the cell, she had her hands cuffed behind her around the support pillar of an iron bed in a way that forced her into a half-squatting position. She could neither stand up nor squat down. She was also later handcuffed and suspended in the air, causing physical pain beyond the point of human endurance. In one episode she was left hanging froma basketball hoop until she lost all her strength. She begged them in an extremely weak voice, "Please release me. I can't stand this any more." Those who were on guard paid no attention to her. She lost her life as a result of this vicious torture. -
A Report of the Deaths of 18 Persecuted Practitioners in Seven Different Provinces
2005-06-02Ms. Yuan Zexiu, around 60 years old, lived in a village in Shandong Province. After 1999, she was arrested and subjected to brainwashing many times. Around May 1, 2004, when she and another practitioner handed out leaflets exposing the persecution , they were both arrested. A few months later they were sent to the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. The labour camp didn't accept Ms. Yuan because of her poor state of health due to persecution. She returned home to Laizhou City on parole. On January 25, 2005, Ms. Yuan passed away. -

We heard that two young girls (said to be prisoners) in the Third Branch "committed suicide." Later we found out that they were actually Falun Gong practitioners who were beaten to death, and the prisoners gave false testimony. During the past year, this kind of incident happened a lot. Dutch Falun Gong Practitioner Kidnapped in China
2005-06-01Peter Valk, a 28-year-old Dutch man from Woerden, was kidnapped from his hotel room by 15 Chinese secret agents in the night of the 24th to the 25th of May. He was forced into a car with his head between his knees under a blanket and taken to the local ‘6-10 Office’. After two and a half days of detention, he was put on a plane to Thailand on the 28th of May and told he is prohibited from entering China for the next five years. The only reason for his arrest is that Peter practises Falun Gong, a meditation practice for mind and body. -

Mr. Yang Jinyu from Hebei Province Dies After His Wife is Tortured to Death
2005-06-01Mr. Yang Jinyu passed away on February 17, 2005, two years after his wife was tortured to death. His 56-year-old wife, Mrs. Xiong Fengxia, was tortured to death in a brainwashing centre on October 13, 2002. When she died, her body was covered with bruises and wounds. There were forty-three wounds on the front of her body, and her wrists had deep gouges left by the chains she was hung up with. The suffering was too much for Yang Jinyu, he became despondent and died from heart disease. -
Help Rescue Gao Rongrong and the Practitioners Who Assisted Her Escape from Imprisonment
2005-06-01Ms. Gao Rongrong, whose face was disfigured due to continuous electric shocks by Longshan Forced Labour Camp police has been abducted again and has been missing for over two months now. [Note: after Ms. Gao was tortured so severely, she was rescued by fellow practitioners who helped her escape when she was recovering from her injuries under police watch.] Even now, her whereabouts are still unclear. According to a recent report, Ms. Gao was locked in Shenyang Jail, suffering brutal torture. The practitioners who helped her escape are all suffering unjust incarceration and persecution. -
Seven Practitioners in China Died from the Persecution
2005-06-01Practitioner Dr Yang Ronghua, 61 years old, was an associate director of the Henan Agriculture University Hospital. She had been honoured several times by the hospital as an outstanding doctor with excellent medical skills. She was also recognised as a good person. After she started practising Falun Dafa her liver disease was healed without the help of medication. However, after she appealed for justice for Falun Gong the authorities put pressure on her husband to monitor and restrict her freedom. Under house arrest this caused the recurrence of her liver disease. She died in May 2001. -
The Systematic Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners within the Chinese Military System
2005-05-31The Chinese Communist military organisation has played a major role in Jiang Zemin's regime's persecution of Falun Gong. During a political background check in a yearly recruiting effort, an army unit even requested each recruit to write three sentences to slander Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Gong) and Falun Gong, in order to discern whether or not one was a practitioner. If a potential recruit has any relatives who practise Falun Gong, he would be implicated and be subject to punishment. A young man from Sichuan Province was immediately removed from the draft because it was found that his mother was a practitioner. -

Teenage Girl Kept In Prison While her Father is Tortured to Death
2005-05-31Mr. Zhang Tao was detained at the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. He was tortured to death on July 30, 2002. Zhang Tao's daughter, Zhang Jianhui, has been detained for three years. In Mid-April, 2002, Zhang Jianhui, who was 19 years old at the time, was arrested amidst a large scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners and sentenced to ten years in prison. She is still detained at the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in Harbin City today. -
Practitioner Wang Zhige Tortured and Now on the Verge of Death
2005-05-31Several months ago Wang Zhige gave a VCD telling people the truth about Falun Dafa and explaining that practitioners are innocent people being wrongfully persecuted to a person named Weng Hongjun. He then reported this to his brother. Wang Zhige was arrested and detained in a detention centre. Police tortured Mr. Wang to obtain a "confession." This continued for days. The beatings were so severe that his eyes were swollen shut, and he could not see. To protest, he went on a hunger strike for more than thirty days. He has been brutally tortured and is now on the verge of death.
