Mr. Jiang Bingsheng from Guoxiang Town, the Wuzhong District, Suzhou City was subjected to persecution several times. He died as a result of the extensive physical and mental abuse he was subjected to. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 2003, after he was released from the Suzhou Prison in early 2008, he was harassed and monitored many times by Wuzhong District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) agents, and died shortly after.

Mr. Jiang Bingsheng started practising Falun Gong in April 1997, and benefited both physically and mentally. When doing business, he conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

He went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in October 2000, and was taken back to Suzhou by Suzhou 610 Office agents and officers from the Wuzhong District Police Department and the Guoxiang Police Station. He was held in the Suzhou No. 2 Detention Centre for a month before he was given a one-and-a-half-year forced labour term. He was taken to the Fangqiang Forced Labour Camp in Dafeng, where he was severely physically abused and mistreated. He was forced to do hard labour for nearly a year in Division No. 4, and transferred to Division No. 2 where Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal persecution. Perpetrators involved in the persecution include Party head Yu Yonghai, Division head Ji Hua, political head Wei Yun, and guards Wei Honghui and Sun Qiang as well as other thugs.

Once, the prison guards and local 610 Office agents deceived Mr. Jiang's wife and child into travelling thousands of miles to visit him in the labour camp. The perpetrators ordered Mr. Jiang's wife and child to kneel down in front of Mr. Jiang, in an attempt to force Mr. Jiang to renounce his spiritual belief. Mr. Jiang firmly refused. Just as he was to be released, the guards extended his term by six months.

Mr. Jiang was released in late 2002, and went to Beijing once again in the spring of 2003 to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong. He was once again taken back to Suzhou by officers from the Suzhou City Police Department. Wuzhong District Court officials sentenced Mr. Jiang to five years in prison and held him in Suzhou Prison where he was subjected to severe physical abuse and torture, because he remained steadfast in his belief.

Mr. Jiang held a hunger strike twice to protest the persecution. The longest hunger strike lasted for more than 100 days. The guards force-fed him several times, injuring his lungs. Long-term force feedings left Mr. Jiang physically weakened. The guards then resorted to the most heinous means of abuse: incarcerating Mr. Jiang twice in the Liyang Prison Mental Hospital.

The guards tortured Mr. Jiang in an electric chair, in an attempt to force him to stop his hunger strike. They also injected him with drugs that damage the central nervous system. Long-term brutal persecution seriously devastated Mr. Jiang's physical and mental health.

After he was released in early 2008, Mr. Jiang was placed under harassment and monitoring many times by the district's 610 Office agents. He died shortly after being released as a result of the serious injuries sustained during his five years of imprisonment.
