On June 13th, 2010, Ms. Zhou Shuhong from Baichigan Village, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, was arrested by Yang Yugang and a dozen police officers from the Zhuozhou 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong]. The police officers ransacked her house. They sentenced Ms. Zhou to one year of forced labour using the information on her computer, leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books that they took from her house. It has been more than six months since Ms. Zhou was transferred to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labour Camp.

When Ms. Zhou was arrested, her husband and son were doing farm work in the field. After they came home, their house was in a huge mess and Ms. Zhou had already been taken away. They went to talk with Yang Yugang and asked him to release her. Yang was extremely hostile and told them that the police only arrested people, but did not release them. Later, the officers transferred Ms. Zhou to the forced labour camp for further persecution.

When Ms. Zhou's family members went to see her at the forced labour camp, the guards harassed, intimidated, and deceived them.

In the past, Ms. Zhou had a lot of medical conditions such as mastitis and heart disease. After she began practising Falun Gong, all her illnesses were cured. Many of her neighbours were moved after seeing the miraculous changes in her and how wonderful Falun Gong was, and they also started practising. When the communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Zhou went to Beijing to appeal. Since then, the local police officers have often harassed and persecuted her.

Ms. Zhou's son is about to get married, but now his mother has been arrested and the family is very sad.
