Ms. Wang Jie from Shenyang Arrested Again Following a Seven-Year Imprisonment

Ms. Wang Jie, 48, from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was sentenced to prison in 2002 for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for seven years in the Liaoning Women's Prison, where she was subjected to severe abuse and torture. Ms. Wang was released in October 2009, but in less than a year, she was once again arrested at home on the morning of September 26th, 2010. She is currently in the Shenyang City Detention Centre.

Since she started practising Falun Gong, Ms. Wang has conducted herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Ms. Wang had been arrested several times prior to 2002.

Ms. Wang and two other practitioners interviewed practitioners who had been severely abused and tortured as a result of the persecution, and made the video clips into DVDs, preparing to mail them overseas to expose the Chinese Communist Party's crimes and stop the persecution. Unfortunately, Ms. Wang and other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Yinzhou District Police Department in Tieling City in October 2002. Ms. Wang was sentenced to imprisonment and detained in Division 9 of the Liaoning Province Women's Prison for seven years.

She was severely abused and tortured while imprisoned and held hunger strikes several times to protest the persecution. Her life was in peril several times. Her hunger strikes sometimes lasted for six months. Long term hunger strikes left her with gastric atrophy. The prison guards force-fed her as a means of torture. She became emaciated. She was only able to survive with her righteous and firm belief in Falun Gong.

After she was released, she recovered quickly due to the amazing power of Falun Gong. Although she cannot eat much due to gastric atrophy, she is still in good spirits.

Ms. Wang was arrested again less than a year following her release. We hope fellow practitioners help rescue Ms. Wang.
