The following is Ms. Ding Junhua's account of being arrested and the subsequent persecution she endured:

My elderly mother and I were having lunch at home around 11:00 a.m. on April 13th, 2010. Wang Lishi from the Mudanjiang Agriculture Administration Procuratorate, Sun Shanfa from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), and about a dozen police officers from the Police Station 854 broke into my home and arrested me. They forcefully dragged me into a car and took me to the police station.

Two hours later, police officers tied me up, carried me into a car and sent me to the Agriculture Administration, where Wang handed me over to Liu Li, the head of the Agriculture Administration National Security Brigade. Liu took me to the Agriculture University Hospital for a physical exam, where the doctor on duty did not conduct much of a check-up but filled out the forms as if a full examination had been done. I asked them if they were creating false records, but they did not reply. Later, I was held at the Mudanjiang Agriculture Administration Police Station.

I protested the persecution by going on a hunger strike. On the seventh day of my hunger strike, seven or eight police officers forced me into a car and took me to the Peide Hospital. I had no strength to resist and was given a brief gynaecological exam. They did not tell me the results but admitted me to the hospital. When I asked why, a director told me that I had to stay in the hospital whether I wished to or not. A doctor and a nurse arrived a moment later--they wanted to give me injections, test my blood and put me on an intravenous drip, but I was determined not to co-operate. I was confined at the hospital for three days and nights. During this period, they tied me to a bed using long, heavy chains from 8:00 p.m. until dawn every day, even though I was weak and weighed only 40 kg (88 lbs). The weight of the chains caused me severe pain. A policeman and a policewoman watched me around the clock. I was sent home on April 23rd.
