Sweden: Vara Council Member Supports the Falun Gong Art Exhibition

The Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance art exhibition opened on June 27th in Vara library in Sweden. The exhibition will last two weeks, until July 11th.

City Council member Olof Jorgenssen came to the exhibition and made a speech at the opening ceremony. He said that there were quite a lot of art exhibitions in Vara, but this one is very special. “It tells what has happened; what is happening and what is going to happen.” Mr. Jorgenssen expressed his support to the Falun Gong’s principles of “Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance”. He also recommends people to read the "Nine commentaries on the communist party" from the Epoch Times. “It can help you to understand the communist party's true face” Said Jorgenssen.

“China will hold the Olympic Games, people might agree at the beginning and then they had doubts, now they think it is wrong. We will continue keep en eye on China, even after the Olympic Games, we will not forget to focus on China’s human rights condition.” Mr. Jorgenssen continued.

At the opening ceremony, the organiser of this exhibition, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ove Hallberg told the visitors: “This exhibition has been hold in more than twenty countries. The aim of the exhibition is to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.”

Falun Gong practitioner, Benjamin Kong, who was illegally detained in China, also came to the opening ceremony. Mr. Jorgenssen congratulated him to be free from the communist party’s paws. “What you have experienced is beyond our imagination. You are welcome to Sweden!” said Jorgenssen to Kong.

Reporters from two local newspapers come to arrange interviews. Many visitors learned more truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China through the exhibition. Some of them hope to buy a few pictures and some even learned the exercises on the spot.
