Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel in Bijie City, Guizhou Province closely followed Jiang Zemin [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] since the persecution began on July 1999, brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and committing countless crimes. Included here are some details of the persecution suffered by local Falun Gong practitioners:

Mr. Ye Fenglin, 45, was an armed forces department official in Linkou Town, Bijie City. In October 2001 he was taken to Zhongba Forced Labour Camp of Guizhou Province for a three-year term. At the labour camp, he was subjected to brutal and merciless beatings because he resisted the forced brainwashing and was steadfast in not giving up cultivation. On June 27th, 2002, at 7:30 a.m., he was tortured to death while being held in the sixth team of Zhongba Forced Labour Camp of Guizhou Province. His autopsy result showed that his liver had extravasated blood, that one of his ribs was broken, and that there was no food in his stomach and intestines.

Ms. Zeng Mianzhi, 80, was a retired senior government official. She was sentenced to custody outside of prison for seven years because she firmly resisted the fabricated charge imposed on her by CCP personnel. He suffered mental torture in the prison for a long time. In 2005 he returned home. Mr. Wu Kunyao's wife, Ms. Guo Xiang, about 30 years old, is a former staff member of the Financial Division of the Bijie Institute. She was sentenced to three years of forced labour because she persisted in practising Falun Gong. When they were arrested, their approximately one-year-old daughter was left at home with relatives. Due to the intense pressure of the persecution, they gave in to the authorities and were released ahead of time because they were forcibly "reformed1."
