Falun Dafa practitioner Ms Dong Cuifang from Gaocheng City in Hebei Province was beaten to death on March 20, 2003 in Beijing's Daxing Labour Camp. There were ugly bruises all over her body. Despite the plainly visible evidence, the labour camp officials denied using violence to cruelly persecute this practitioner and lied, stating that Dong Cuifang died from "a mental collapse." The parents of Dong Cuifang appealed, requesting that the Medical Identification Centre in Beijing do the autopsy.

The lab results were revealed on April 14th and demonstrated that Dong Cuifang was indeed murdered in Daxing Labour Camp. When confronted with the indisputable facts, the labour camp officials were so afraid that they admitted they were responsible to a certain degree. At the same time, however, they put pressure on Dong Cuifang's parents. They threatened them to withdraw the lawsuit. They also paid a huge amount of money to them in an attempt to "buy them off," and set up "three requirements" for the parents upon acceptance of the money:

1. They could not be influenced by the local practitioners or collaborate with any practitioner
2. They could not expose the crime and ask for the "family console fee" from a related department
3. They could not go back on their word and must give up the right to appeal again.

However, the truth cannot be hidden. The truth will be exposed sooner or later. It is futile to admit to murdering a person and then "buy off" the victims with huge amounts of money. It is futile to bury the facts after the "purchase," using both hard and soft tactics; on the one hand threatening and on the other tempting with promises of gain. All of this has demonstrated their frustration. No matter what they do, none of them can avoid the impending true trial of justice.
