A Call for Falun Dafa Artwork

It has been eleven years since Falun Dafa first began to spread around the world. Each Falun Dafa practitioner is immensely thankful for Teacher’s compassionate salvation. In the process of studying the Law, spreading the Law, assimilating to the Law, and safeguarding the Law, Falun Dafa practitioners are gradually progressing towards perfection. While exposing the evil persecution, clarifying the truth, and validating Dafa, Dafa practitioners have also been using a variety of methods to demonstrate to people of the world the beauty and majesty of Dafa. In order to fully utilise the power of art during this time period, plans are underway to hold an international Falun Dafa Art Exhibition during the period of time around July 20th of this year. Fellow practitioners and interested non-practitioners who are art professionals (or who have artistic talents) are invited to apply their ideas and thoughts, display their creative talents, and submit high-quality, exquisite works of art for the exhibition. Artworks that were created before this notice can also be considered for the exhibition.

Out of concern for fellow practitioners’ security, the exhibition is not calling for artwork from Mainland China at this time. This call for artwork is only meant for practitioners overseas, as well as practitioners from places such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, etc., or non-practitioners from any locale.

Artistic Genres:

Sculptures, paintings, oil paintings, traditional Chinese paintings, calligraphy, carved drawings, watercolours, traditional Chinese New Year’s paintings, cartoons, etc.

Requirements for Artwork:

Each piece of artwork should focus on Dafa and use traditional, orthodox methods and styles for artistic expression.

Registration:

For those who are interested in participating in the exhibition, please register at your earliest convenience with the following information: your name, address, contact telephone number, title of your artwork(s), category, quantity, and measurements of your artwork(s). Please send a photograph of any existing artwork for evaluation.

Deadline for Artwork Submission:

Postmarked by July 5, 2003. Please try to send your artwork using express mail.
