An exhibition of the paintings of Zhang Cuiying, a Falun Gong practitioner and internationally revered Chinese artist, was successfully held in the Capital Art Museum of Slovenia between April 15th and 17th 2003. The elegance and purity of the traditional Chinese paintings received much praise from the audience. More importantly, these paintings made many visitors eager to learn more about Falun Dafa. This painting exhibition became a starting point for spreading the practice of Falun Dafa in Slovenia.

Before this painting exhibition, very few people in Slovenia knew about Falun Gong. Even the media was aware of Falun Gong in name only, and did not know many details. Zhang Cuiying’s painting exhibition attracted many people, including the General Manager of the Museum, who was so touched by the magnificent paintings that he provided an extra 500 square metres of the exhibition hall without any extra charge. On the opening day, he invited a Professor of Philosophy to play classical music to add to the peaceful atmosphere in the exhibition hall. After looking at the paintings and talking to Cuiying and other Falun Gong practitioners, this Professor expressed an interest in learning the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, and asked questions about Falun Dafa books as though he had found a brand new field of thought.

There were numerous visitors to the three-day painting exhibition. Although they may have had different occupations, came from different backgrounds, and belonged to different age groups, they all shared the wish to learn to practise Falun Gong. The children were particularly excited about the practice. This painting exhibition turned out to be abundant in both virtue and craftsmanship, which left everyone with satisfied hearts.
