June 26th was United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Practitioners in Spain held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy. Banners calling for an end to the persecution were displayed on both sides of the road as well as pictures illustrating the various forms of torture and other harassment that practitioners in China are subjected to in labour camps, detention centres and prisons. Practitioners handed out leaflets and clarified the truth to passers-by who, after stopping to look at the pictures and carefully read the information, expressed their support for Falun Gong.
