  • European Parliament Passes a Written Declaration Demanding Eutelsat Resume NTDTV’s Signal to China

    The first written declaration passed by the European Parliament in 2009 was to demand that Eutelsat resume NTDTV’s broadcast signal to China. By January 14th, 438 Members of European Parliament had signed the declaration. This is the first time the European Parliament passed such a document related to China.

  • Russia: 2007 Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held in Moscow

    The 2007 Russian Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held on October 20th and 21st, 2007, at a country club in Redkino, in the countryside surrounding Moscow. Falun Dafa practitioners from all over Russia, and countriesincluding Germany, France, Ukraine, White Russia, Czechoslovakia and Israel attended the conference. Since 1999, Russian Falun Gong practitioners have held nationwide cultivation experience sharing conferences once a year.
  • Zhuan Falun Published in Greek

    Zhuan Falun is one of the more than 30 books by Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. It is his major book that explains the principles of cultivation in Falun Dafa. Every year Greece's publishers and book lovers go to an historical venue in Athens to participate in a book festival. This fall, the 36th Annual Book Festival was held from September 14 to 30. Zhuan Falun in Greek was displayed at the festival and welcomed. Many people with predestined relationships bought the book then and there.

    On the evening of August 9th 2007, the Global Human Rights Torch Relay was launched on Syntagma Square, in front of the Hellenic Parliament buildings in Athens, Greece, one year ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The ceremony launched the year-long journey of the "Global Human Rights Torch Relay."
  • Greece: The Global Human Rights Torch Relay will be Launched in Athens

    It is expected that within a year’s time of the launch of the relay, the route of the human rights torch will cover more than a hundred cities in dozens of countries on five continents. The CIPFG hopes to raise the international community’s concern over the CCP’s human rights violations in China with the help of the human rights torch relay and to stop shame being brought to the Olympic Games.

    On July 3rd, 2007, the European Chapter of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) held a press conference at the Foreign Journalists’ Club in London, announcing the start of the European Human Rights Torch Relay. In one month, the global Human Rights Torch will be lit in Athens, Greece, the birth place of the Olympic Games. Mārtiņš Rubenis from Latvia, who won the bronze medal at the men's singles luge event at the 2006 Winter Olympics, will carry the torch for Europe.
  • Sweden: Bo Xilai Sued for Murder and Torture by Falun Gong Practitioners Once Again

    Bo has been indicted by Falun Gong practitioners for murder, crimes against humanity, and torture in a dozen countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Russia, Australia, Korea, Spain and Canada. Evil will not go unpunished. Whenever Bo visits a foreign country, he faces legal action against him.
  • Latvian Version of the Book Falun Gong Officially Published

    In May 2007, on the eve of World Falun Gong Day, the Latvian version of the book Falun Gong [the introductory text to the practice of Falun Dafa] was officially published and now it is available in book stores throughout Latvia. Falun Gong has been translated into nearly a dozen languages. Currently there are hundreds of millions of people in eighty plus countries practising Falun Gong, which is considered to be the most popular and widespread qigong practice.
  • German Parliament Condemns the Chinese Communist Regime’s Forced Labour System

    On May 10th, 2007, the German parliament passed a historic resolution condemning the Chinese Communist regime for its forced labour system. In the parliament, all parties unanimously and strongly condemned the Chinese regime’s inhuman forced labour system and called on the German government to seriously investigate the allegations that the regime is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Statement by the European Falun Dafa Association: EU-China Human Rights Dialogue

    "We sincerely urge the EU to take this valuable opportunity to openly and publicly speak out against the human rights abuses. The EU’s efforts and public condemnation of this senseless and horrific persecution can significantly contribute to easing the pressure that the practitioners in China are currently enduring and take us one step closer to ending their suffering. It has now been over 8 years since the crackdown began. Every day, we receive more news of yet another torture victim, another family torn apart, another human rights crime."
  • Senior Chinese Communist Party Official Wu Guanzheng Sued for his Involvement in Persecuting Falun Gong

    On the morning of April 17th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit against Wu Guanzheng for the crimes of genocide and torture. Wu, a member of the Standing Committee of China’s Communist Party Politburo and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Communist Party, is currently visiting Spain. Wu Guanzheng was the Party Chief of Shandong Province between 1997 and November 2002. During this period, Wu was directly involved in carrying out Jiang Zemin’s order to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Germany’s Ruling Party Urges China to Allow International Organizations to Investigate Allegations of Trading in Human Organs

    Germany’s ruling Christian Democrats Union (CDU) called on the Chinese communist regime to allow independent international organisations to conduct an investigation into allegations of trading human organs. The statement pointed out that the Chinese Communist regime has long been criticised for harvesting organs from criminals awaiting execution without consent. What’s more, it even persecuted Falun Gong practitioners by means of harvesting their organs when they were still alive.
