An international organization is now working to bring those children out of China to a warm home. Five-year-old Rongrong is the kind of child this mission is aiming to help. The girl’s father was tortured to death because he practised Falun Gong and her mother was later arrested.

    LONDON [EFGIC]– Video footage smuggled out of Inner Mongolia shows the skeletal body of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Xia. Two years of torture have reduced her frame to 20 kilos and left her fading in and out of consciousness...In the video Ms. Wang is shown lying on her back as the camera zooms in on several scars above her knees left by ropes.
  • EFGIC: U.S. House of Representatives Passes Resolution Condemning Chinese Government Oppression of Americans over Falun Gong

    Citing cases in which Chinese-government agents targeted U.S. officials, residents, and citizens from New York to San Francisco, the resolution calls upon the regime to immediately stop interfering with basic freedoms in America. It states that the P.R.C. government should “cease using the diplomatic missions in the United States to spread falsehoods about the nature of Falun Gong.”
  • Breaking News - EFGIC: Chinese Woman Free Following International Rescue Campaign

    Xiong Wei, a 33year-old employee of a German company, returned to Germany today after 2 years of illegal detention in China. Ms Wei, a former student at Berlin Technical University, was arrested by the authorities in January 2002 whilst working in China for her German employers, simply because she practised Falun Gong.
  • SFGIC Press Release: Press Conference Regarding Criminal Charges in Sweden Against Jiang Zemin and Live Anti-Torture Exhibition

    Swedish Falun Gong practitioners together with their lawyer, Falun Gong practitioner Peter Bergquist, are preparing a lawsuit in Sweden in co-operation with international human rights lawyers Georges-Henri Beauthier of Belgium and William Bourdoun of France. The lawsuit charges Jiang Zemin, former Head of State in China, and other responsible perpetrators in the persecution of Falun Gong for crimes of murder, torture and abduction.
  • EFGIC: Chinese Government Official Sued in Spain for Crimes of Torture and Genocide

    'LONDON [EFGIC]– On September 2nd a criminal lawsuit was filed in the Spanish Courts against Chinese official, Jia Qinglin, accusing him of crimes of genocide and torture against practitioners of the exercise and meditation system of Falun Gong in China...The plaintiffs in the lawsuit are 15 Falun Gong practitioners, who have suffered either directly or indirectly, by way of their family members being persecuted in Beijing, during the time Jia Qinglin was in office.''

    'VIENNA - Yong Wang has lived on a permanent residency status in Austria for more than ten years. He attained a Business Administration Degree in Vienna, is employed as a software developer, and married a native Austrian last year, with whom he had a baby. Unfortunately, the thirty-two year old Austrian of Chinese descent has serious problems: At the beginning of July, he applied for a passport extension at the Chinese Consulate in Vienna, which was refused.'
  • Falun Dafa Information Centre Austria: Press Release Regarding Jia Qinglin's Visit to Austria

    During this week, Jia Qinglin, the former party secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and former mayor of the city of Beijing, is visiting Austria for two days. He has been a member of the standing committee of the CCP’s Politburo since 2002. During Jia’s administration, Beijing generated one of the worst records among many cities with respect to the persecution of Falun Gong (see examples below). As the Party’s General Secretary in Beijing, and in his capacity as Central Committee member of the CCP from 1999-2002, Jia Qinglin has been responsible for the persecution.

    'The deaths of 48 Falun Gong practitioners in China were verified during June and July. Most were tortured or beaten to death. Information about the torture or killing of Falun Gong practitioners is officially classified as ‘state secrets’ in China, and therefore, people who uncover and publicize such evidence do so at great risk to themselves. Many have been killed simply for publicizing the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.'

She soils her clothing uncontrollably, and has frequent hallucinations, tossing and turning restlessly amidst unseen enemies...This is not the young woman her family members described as “healthy and vibrant” before the police took her away because she practised Falun Gong.'
  • EFGIC: Criminal Lawsuit Filed against Chinese Officials in Athens

    ATHENS (EFGIC) – One week prior to the opening of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three Falun Gong practitioners, including 37 year-old Australian citizen Chris Cominos, jointly submitted a criminal lawsuit against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, former Vice-Premier Li Lanqing, and Politburo Standing Committee member Luo Gan for genocide and torture.
  • The Chinese Embassy in Vienna Illegally Refuses Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Yong a Passport Extension

    A passport extension application made by Falun Gong practitioner Mr Wang Yong was refused by the Chinese Consulate in Vienna on July the 21st 2004. The reason for the refusal is that Mr Wang practises Falun Dafa and regularly participates in peaceful appeal activities at the Chinese Consulate in Vienna.
