  • Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners participate in an International Conference on Human Rights

    Practitioners raised questions with the chairman of the UN commission about the continuing persecution of Falun Gong in China and the issue of immunity for dictators. The panellists explained from different angles and affirmed that the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government has caught the attention of human rights organisations and led to condemnation by those organisations.
  • Russia: Finnish Practitioners visit their Embassy in Moscow to let them know the Truth about Falun Gong

    During the recent experience sharing conference in Russia activities were orgainsed to let more people know about Falun Gong. In the time between these activities, Finnish Falun Dafa practitioners visited the Finnish Embassy in Moscow to tell them the facts about Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution that has been happening for over four years in China.
  • Belgium: Clarifying the facts at the Inter-parliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Freedom of Religion and Belief

    “Some people think that the accused Chinese officials have the privilege of ‘Head of State Immunity’. But human rights lawyers say that people who commit the crimes of torture and genocide are not entitled to the privilege of ‘Head of State Immunity’ on the basis of International Law and the Vienna Convention. To seek common peace, I think you all agree that murderers such as Hitler, Slobodan Milosevic and Jiang Zemin should be arrested instead of having the privilege of ‘Head of State Immunity’, otherwise they will do more damage to the human society.”
  • Finland: Explaining the Facts to the Finnish Government

    Worldwide Falun Gong practitioners have constantly sent letters to related officials in the Finnish government. The Finnish Prime Minister’s secretary asked for more materials from practitioners and said that the Prime Minister would discuss these issues in a meeting with Luo Gan.
  • UK: European Friends of Falun Gong holds Seminar in Houses of Parliament

    After an informal lunch, which gave UK Falun Gong practitioners a great chance to let important dignitaries know more about the persecution Falun Gong, the seminar presentations began. This part of the seminar was chaired by Iain Luke MP, a Member of UK Parliament who has worked hard for the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Belgium: The Lawsuit against Jiang Attracts Great Interest from the Belgian Media

    After the press conference held on August 20th, the Belgian media continue to show strong interest in the lawsuit against Jiang. On August 21st, at the request of a TV station, practitioners from France, Sweden, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Australia, and also Belgium were interviewed at the Brussels practice site.
  • First day of the Sub-Commission on Human Rights at the UN: Falun Gong Practitioners Reported on the Progress of the Lawsuits Against Jiang

    "In Chicago, United States of America, a lawsuit was filed against Jiang Zemin in October 2002 by survivors of China’s forced labour camps...More has been done, however: in Switzerland and worldwide, Falun Gong Associations around the world, together with the international Swiss-based NGO TRIAL have set up an international network of lawyers specializing in human rights with the aim of bringing Jiang Zemin and all those responsible for the persecution to justice."
  • Jiang Regime's Ruthless Persecution of Female Falun Gong Practitioners Condemned at the UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights

    After the speech, many representatives came up to the practitioner's seat and expressed their admiration and greetings for her speech. They also expressed their support for Falun Gong practitioners' four-year peaceful and rational actions. The several dozen copies of the speech that the practitioner brought with her, including her own copy, were instantly taken by the attendees.
  • Meeting with the Icelandic Ambassador in Washington DC

    Practitioners are concerned about upholding values and ethics in society. Leaders in a democracy play an important role in this regard. Setting bad examples can be a threat to good values and have bad effects in society. In addition, we note that the view that a government takes on Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is the view of a nation, regardless of the people’s opinion. We hope that Iceland’s view will become positive.
  • Members of the UK House of Lords Support the Lawsuit Against Jiang

    While Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin is being sued in Chicago’s Federal Court, former member of the UK House of Lords, Lord Moyne (2nd from right), gave a speech expressing his support for the lawsuit. Many other Lords, including Lord Hylton (2nd from left) and Lord Avebury, have expressed their support for Falun Gong.
  • A Meeting with a Swedish Foreign Ministry Official: Fresh Flowers, Truth and Information about the Global Lawsuit against Jiang

    On June 13th 2003, accompanied by three fellow practitioners, Pirjo Svensson went to the Swedish Foreign Ministry to meet with the head of the Department of Asian Affairs. The head of the Department happily accepted a bouquet of flowers from the practitioners and enquired about the unfair treatment that Pirjo encountered in Thailand.
  • Denmark: Dalai Lama Receives the Most Precious Gift!

    As I stepped forward to hand him the book, he asked me what kind of book it was. I told him that it was a very unique and precious gift – not an ordinary book. He looked very intensively at the book and asked me if it was a Korean book. I said it was an ancient Chinese book called Zhuan Falun, and that it was very special. He looked at me, nodded, then looked at the book again and took it. I felt compassion in my heart, and felt very righteous and calm at that moment.
  • Czech Republic: Practitioners Meet with Members of Parliament

    Dafa practitioner and artist Zhang Cuiying's visit to the Czech Republic to exhibit her paintings, gave her the chance to meet with many Members of Parliament and government ministers. They were all happy to meet Cuiying and to learn more about the persecution of Dafa practitioners in China. Many invited the artict to return to the Czech Republic to hold more exhibitions in the future.
  • Czech Republic: Zhang Cuiying’s Exhibition for VIPs in Prague

    One Senator was deeply moved by the experiences of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as their kindness, and he was touched by the beauty of Zhang Cuiying’s paintings. He offered his help and said that he believes Dafa practitioners can find a lot of support among the Czech government officials.
  • Croatia: Human Rights Official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Encourages Practitioners to Appeal for Human Rights

    In April 2003, practitioner Zhang Cuiying exhibited her artwork in Zagreb. She also accompanied practitioners to visit the Chief of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who encouraged her to continue holding exhibitions to help people learn the true facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioners presented detailed information about the genocide lawsuit against Jiang Zemin to the Foreign Ministry.
