  • Germany: Peacefully Appealing In Front of the Chinese Consulate in on Xiong Wei’s Birthday

    On the 8th of December 2003, Hamburg’s Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the Chinese consulate today to peacefully protest for Xiong Wei’s release. She was a Berlin Industrial University student who was arrested for handing out leaflets about Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution on a street in Beijing.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Activities on World Human Rights Day in Darmstadt

    On the 10th of December, which is World Human Rights Day, Falun Gong practitioners from Germany held activities in Darmstadt. The activities lasted from late afternoon until the early evening and focused on telling people in Darmstadt about the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in Germany.
  • Sweden: Promoting Falun Gong and Clarifying the Facts in Uddevalla

    At the time of the activities, there were a lot of people doing their Christmas shopping so many Falun Gong practitioners walked around the city centre to distribute leaflets about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Practitioners also collected petition signatures. Many people showed an interest in the activities and practitioners distributed a lot of information.
  • Ireland: Clarifying the Facts Outside the Irish Immigration Office

    When demonstrating the excercises outside the Irish Immigration Office, practitioners left people with a good impression of Falun Gong. Many passers-by took leaflets and expressed their support; others learned about the two Chinese students ( Feng Liu and Fang Yang) from the information boards that practitioners had displayed.
  • Germany: Support from the people of Hannover on World Human Rights Day

    After the news about Xiong Wei and reports on the lawsuit filed against former Chinese president Jiang Zemin featured widely in the media, many local people became very interested in knowing what was happening to Falun Gong in China. In addition, a campaign-song to rescue Xiong Wei, had also been broadcast and the result was very positive.
  • Ireland: Clarifying the Facts in Front of the Country's Largest TV station

    Staff of the TV station and passers-by listened to the practitioners' explanations about Falun Gong, and were able to obtain a better and deeper understanding of Dafa and the persecution inside China. At the same time, practitioners also appealed for the rescue of the two students, Liu Feng and Yang Fang, who are being persecuted by the Jiang regime in China because they practise Falun Gong.
  • Ireland: Collecting Signatures For the Rescue of Liu Feng and Yang Fang in Dublin

    Both Liu Feng and Yang Fang were studying in Dublin before they returned to China during the Christmas holidays in 1999 and were illegally arrested. On December the 17th, practitioners went to Dun Laoghaire, where Liu Feng and Yang Fang went to college, to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and collect signatures for their release.
  • Germany: "Falun Dafa Family" from Heidelberg Take Part in Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin

    Their names have been widely known by the local people since Hubert and the two eldest daughters, Caroline and Steffi, went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Gong in February 2002. Appealing on Tiananmen Square is their most unforgettable experience over the past four years. German newspapers, radio and TV stations came to interview them one by one. It seemed everyone admired their courage.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Gong at Passau University Homecoming Day

    December 8th was the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Passau University. Included in the celebration ceremony programme was a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises. Falun Gong practitioners performed the five sets of exercises on stage. This was the first time that Falun Gong has been included as part of the cultural life of the university.
  • Germany: Supporting the Lawsuit Against Jiang in Karlsruhe City

    On the 13th of December 2003, German Dafa practitioners gathered in Karlsruhe to inform the public of the lawsuit filed in Germany against Jiang Zemin. The indictment of the lawsuit, which accuses sixteen Chinese government officials, including Jiang Zemin, of Genocide, Torture and Crimes Against Humanity was submitted to Germany’s Supreme Court in Karlsruhe.
  • UK: Scottish Practitioners Clarify the Facts in the City of Glasgow

    On the 13th of December, despite overcast and rainy weather, Scottish Falun Gong practitioners went to Glasgow city centre to clarify the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to the general public. They handed out leaflets, demonstrated the exercises and displayed materials revealing the nature of the persecution.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Information Day Held in Regensburg on World Human Rights Day

    A representative from the NGO "International Association for Human Rights" in Karmu city encouraged people to act according to their conscience: "We cannot watch unjust treatment being done to others without doing something ourselves while living in this world. We should take some action, and do something for the tens of thousands Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering in prison."
  • Austria: Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts and Clarifying the Facts on World Human Rights Day

    Dafa practitioners in Vienna, Austria gathered to expose the slanderous lies that the Jiang regime has fabricated to deceive the general public, and to tell people the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. After reading the banners and watching the exercise demonstrations, many people asked for more information from the practitioners.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Activities to Raise Awareness about the Lawsuit Against Jiang on World Human Rights Day

    On the 10th of December, World Human Rights Day, Falun Gong practitioners held events accross Germany to appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, with a focus on the theme of suing Jiang Zemin for his role in instigating the persecution and the theme of rescuing Xiong Wei, a German practitioner currently incarcerated in China.
  • Sweden: Appealing to the Public to Pay Attention to Human Rights in China on Santa Lucia Day

    Malmo is a sister city of Tangshan in China. Taking advantage of Santa Lucia Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Malmo explained the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have suffered in Tangshan, and brought the people of Malmo’s attention to the persecution in China. Practitioners displayed cases of persecution that have occurred in Tangshan, including the death and the brutal torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
