  • France: Introducing Falun Gong at the Montgeron Association Information Day

    After receiving Falun Gong leaflets, people were asking where the practice sites are so that they can go and learn the exercises for free. They also signed their names on a petition form calling for the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice for his crime of genocide.
  • United Kingdom: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution by taking part in Leeds Chinese Cultural Week

    Although dancing is not part of Falun Gong, practitioners all over the world have found that it’s a great way to attract people to come and find out more and this has had a good effect on efforts to raise awareness of the persecution. Many people who came shopping were attracted by the practitioners’ performance and stopped to have a closer look.
  • Holland: Successful Start for National City Tour to Raise Awareness of the Persecution of Falun Gong

    On September 30th, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners began a city tour through all major cities in the southern provinces of Holland to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. The first location was in a square in Maastricht called ‘Square 1992’, coincidentally named after the same year Falun Gong was introduced to the public. The item was broadcast the same day in the local news and the event was reported in several local newspapers.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in a Cultural Festival and Demonstrate the Exercises on Stage

    To make the Munich Beer Festival extra special, the Munich City Government’s Cultural Office, Social Affairs Office and Foreign Affairs Committee jointly held a Cultural Festival celebration on September the 25th. Several dozen groups were invited to participate in the celebration, including Falun Gong practitioners who were invited to perform on stage.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Donauschingen

    Falun Gong practitioners from as far away as Brussels and Geneva gathered in downtown Hanselbrunnen to introduce Falun Gong and explain China’s ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. This was the first time that such activities were held in this area. We found almost all of the people here had never heard of Falun Gong. The passersby were all sympathetic about the suffering of practitioners in China.
  • Germany: Despite Bad Weather, Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution in Munich.

    On September 25th, despite the weather, Munich was filled with visitors to the Beer Festival. Falun Gong practitioners from Munich and neighbouring areas were also there. In front of the Frauenkirche, they set up an anti-torture exhibition, an information desk and had organised exercise demonstrations, singing, dancing and drumming.
  • Ireland: Introducing Falun Dafa and the Persecution to Chinese People on Mid-Autumn Day

    On the Saturday before Mid-Autumn day, we went to O’Connell Street in Dublin city centre. We made a banner suitable for the Mid-Autumn festival, which read, "Falun Gong Practitioners Wish Chinese people a Happy Mid-Autumn Day." After setting up the posters, practitioners began performing a traditional Chinese fan dance and demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. The exercise demonstration music we used was a shorter version with English explanations, so that people could watch the whole five sets of exercises and learn their special features.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution Outside Cologne Cathedral

    In order to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, German Falun Gong practitioners have carried out a peaceful appeal at Cologne Cathedral, a famous tourist site, for nearly three years. On each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, practitioners cooperate to ensure the appeal activities in front of the cathedral during the three days go smoothly, whatever the weather.
  • Holland: An Anti-Torture Exhibition is Held in Rotterdam

    On the afternoon of the 25th of September, Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium and Holland gathered together in Rotterdam, a city with the largest Chinese population in Holland. An anti-torture exhibition acted out by practitioners was held in Schouwburgplein city centre, not far from China Town.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Gong in Henningsdorf

    In connection with other information activities, a small group of practitioners from Berlin decided to organise a weekly information day in one of Berlin’s districts or suburbs. Many passerby showed great interest and most of all, they had a lot of time to spend with us. We were able to tell them about the persecution.
  • Sweden: Anti-Torture Exhibition at the Parliament Building

    On September the 21st, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition at the Swedish Parliament Building, calling on the government and people to be concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and give support to the lawsuit which will be brought against Jiang Zemin and others for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Czech Republic: The First Anti-Torture Exhibition in the Czech Republic Deeply Touched the Hearts of Brno Citizens

    On the 8th of September, practitioners from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the UK met in the city of Brno to let people know about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. An anti-torture exhibition demonstrated the contrast between Falun Dafa’s peaceful exercises and the appalling methods used to torture practitioners in China.
  • United Kingdom: A Film about Falun Gong is Shown During the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival

    The annual International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival was held from the 17th to the 20th of September 2004, at the biggest cinema in Glasgow, Scotland. Seventy films about human rights problems from different countries and nations participated in this festival. Among them, a film revealing the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China by Jiang’s regime was also shown. It left a profound impression on the audience.
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution in Five Cities

    On September 4th, practitioners in five German cities held Information Days. Some new practitioners who have not finished reading Zhuan Falun for the first time also came out to hand out leaflets and let people know the truth. On the day, there were also several passersby wanting to learn the practise.
  • France: Introducing Falun Gong in Bourgogne Over Two Days

    Lots of people wanted to sign our petition and nobody refused our leaflets. They did not know Falun Gong, but news on violations of human rights in China is nothing new to them. We felt deeply that it was very important to explain the facts about the brutal persecution initiated by Jiang and his regime against Falun Gong practitioners over the past few years.
