  • Ms. Ye Biyu Recounts Imprisonment, Brainwashing, and Harassment by the Communist Regime from 2000 to Present Day

    Ms. Ye Biyu was subjected to harassment, arrest, torture, detention, forced labour and imprisonment for steadfastly believing in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and practising Falun Gong during its persecution these last ten years. She recounts: "Guards forcibly took me to the Shuimokeng Brainwashing Centre. I was detained there for over a month. During my incarceration, I was made to watch video programmes and read articles that slandered, attacked and defamed Falun Gong. They also forced me to write a guarantee statement promising not to practise Falun Gong again."
  • Investigation Lead: Multiple Kidney Transplants with Unknown Donors at the No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University

    It is common knowledge that an organ considered for transplant must be of matching tissue type between donor and recipient. (In developed countries such as the U.S., the waiting time for a prospective transplant patient is several years, sometimes as long as ten years). It was recently reported that multiple kidney transplant surgeries were performed at the No. 1 Hospital affiliated with Jilin University in Changchun, Jilin Province. Two transplants were done each day in early March 2009, which is cause for concern. Where do the organs come from? It makes one suspect that the live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners is still happening in China.
  • Chongqing Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jingzhi's Account of the Persecution Directed by Bo Xilai

    For protesting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Zhang Jingzhi from Chongqing was subjected to brutal persecution directed by Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun. He was arrested and sentenced to a three-year prison term in August 2009, and subjected to severe beatings and "fatal torture" while imprisoned.

    In March 2011, fourth ward warden Xiao Tianbo forced practitioners to perform slave labour. Mr. Liu Lin wrote a refusal letter, saying that we are practitioners, not criminals, and we refuse to perform slave labour. Deputy instructor Wang Jie led a group of people to the cell and slandered Falun Gong. I stood up to stop him. He was afraid, and he looked at the other four or five inmates and instructed them to push me onto the bed and to not allow me to speak. They kicked me in the head, waist, and chest for half an hour. I could not stand and was on the edge of losing consciousness. They were afraid and wanted to hold me up, but I could only fall over. This repeated several times. It was like I was almost in a coma.
  • Mr. Zhang Beiqi Given Additional Seven-Year Sentence After Eight Years of Wrongful Imprisonment and Torture

    “Four days and three nights of torture made me lose consciousness. They poured cold water over my body and opened the window to freeze me. They pulled me along the ground, dragging me by my hair. They beat me with their fists. When they saw that I had lost consciousness, they tried to remove me from the tiger bench from where I fell onto the floor. They produced the prepared statements and forced my fingers onto the paper to get my fingerprints, taking advantage of the fact that I was unconscious.   • Once-Healthy Ms. Zhao Lerong Persecuted to the Point of Blurred Vision and Disorientation at Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Ms. Zhao Lerong, 56, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian, Liaoning Province. She was arrested and sent to Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp in late September 2010. She was subjected to various means of torture, which caused her to suffer from chronic insomnia, blurred vision, tightness in her chest, and shortness of breath. She became delirious and extremely weak.
  • Former Armed Police Force Captain Geng Dexin's Personal Account of Nine Years of Unjust Imprisonment

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Geng Dexin was an armed police force captain. In 2002, he was arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison. He was brutally tortured while at Deyang Prison and Wumaping Prison in Sichuan Province. He recounts: "I was taken to Miyi County Detention Centre and beaten, and my hands were kept handcuffed behind my back the entire night. I was viciously beaten by guards. Later on, I went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the fifth day, I was brutally force-fed. They pried my mouth open using a pincer and poured liquid food down my throat."
  • Ms. Qin Li Detained for Over 3 Months; Her Elderly Mother Pleads for Help to Rescue Her

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qin Li was tutoring students in her home on December 26th, 2011, when police broke into her home and arrested her. Ms. Qin has been detained at the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Centre in Chongqing, and brutally tortured for over 3 months. Her 73-year-old mother has written a letter to urge people to pay attention to this case and help rescue her daughter.
  • Persecution Suffered by Mr. Li Zhenxing from Baoding City, Hebei Province

    On August 7th, 2008, I was posting and distributing information exposing the persecution at night when a jeep suddenly stopped in front of me and several men rushed out to surround me. One of them strangled my neck and I nearly suffocated. I was taken to Mancheng Detention Centre. My ankles were fastened with two iron rings welded onto both ends of a rod. There was another ring in the middle of the rod. My wrists were fastened to this ring, crisscrossed. There was a small hole below the middle ring and this ring was secured to the rings on my legs using a 20-cm long wire. Once this instrument was put on me, I could only squat with both hands hugging my knee caps. I could not stand upright. Guard Xu Huilai viciously beat me with a broomstick and the bruises sustained from the beatings took a very long time to heal.
  • Ms. Guo Ling Attained a New Life Practising Falun Dafa, but Abuse at Yunnan Prison Renders Her Almost Paralyzed

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Ling, 55, contracted polio when she was a baby, and the effects of this disease followed her to middle age. She started Falun Gong practice in April 1997. Shortly afterwards, all signs of illness disappeared. After July 20th 1999, Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong this disabled woman experienced several abductions and incarcerations at the Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison for seven years, including forced labour. In October 2011, Ms. Guo was diagnosed with femoral head necrosis and was bailed out for medical treatment. CCP personnel still closely monitored her. She was almost completely paralyzed because of the abuse.
  • Retired Nurse Sentenced to Five-Year Prison Term – Injected with Unknown Drugs in Yunnan Women's Prison

    On May 31st, 2008, while visiting her son Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lei, 52, was arrested by plainclothes police and sentenced to five years in prison. At the Yunnan Second Women's Prison, Ms. Zhang stayed steadfast in her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Instigated by the prison guards, Ms. Zhang was brutally beaten by the prisoners eight times and subjected to torture methods including “hanging up in the air” three times, solitary confinement three times, sitting on a small stool for long periods of time, and was injected against her will with unknown drugs. Ms. Zhang has suffered mentally and physically.
  • Mr. An Renrong from Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, Tortured and Interrogated by Police

    Police from the Domestic Security Bureau of Wuyishan City, Fujian Province arrested practitioner An Renrong on December 27th, 2011. The police ransacked his home, and then tortured, interrogated, and arrested him. An Renrong explained the facts about Falun Gong to the police again and again and asked to be released, since he was innocent. He later held a hunger strike for 22 days. On January 17th, 2012, he was released on bail. The Domestic Security Division is still constantly harassing him.
  • Letter from Torture Victim of Gangbei Prison, Tianjin

    Practitioner Mr. Fan Jianming, who had direct experience of being tortured by warden Zhang Shilin, including the floor anchor torture, was recently released from Gangbei Prison, where he was tortured for nine years. The following is his appeal to the Justice Division. He states: "Falun Gong practitioner Mr Li Xiwang was tortured to death from being shackled to the floor anchor for ten days (I was a victim of this torture myself). Mr. Zhou Xiangyang's family was trying to appeal to the local justice department about the torture he was experiencing in the prison, but they not only refused to investigate, but connived with the prison to obstruct a lawyer's visitation to Mr. Zhou. Mr. Zhou's wife Li Shanshan was sentenced to two years of forced labour because she had been working on her husband’s appeal."
  • Firsthand Account: Ma Yingquan Tortured in Hegang City Brainwashing Centre

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ma Yingquan was arrested on August 20th, 2011, by the local police and taken to a brainwashing centre, where he was brutally beaten and tortured. He recounts: "Zhang Zilong brought in an electric baton and told Zhao Jiabin to handcuff me behind my back. They shocked me for a long time while I was restrained and powerless. I could not move at all. I screamed because of the pain. They took off my clothes and started to shock me with the electric baton all over my body, including my inner thighs, genitals, belly, ears, most of my head, face, upper and lower lips, and throat. They especially shocked those areas of my body where the flesh is sensitive. They tortured me this way for a long time."
  • Ms. Dai Qiongxian's Account of Persecution in Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison

    On August 26th, 2008, Ms. Dai Qiongxian was arrested by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities while she was handing out Shen Yun performance DVDs that showed the beauty of traditional Chinese culture, which has been systematically destroyed by the ruling communist regime over the past 60 years. On March 4th, 2009, Ms. Dai was put on trial without her family being notified. She was sentenced to three years in prison. Since then, she has endured brutal persecution in the Ninth Prison District of Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison. Prior to the 2008 arrest and subsequent sentencing, Ms. Dai was arrested in 2000 and sentenced to forced labour and was brutally treated in Yunnan Women's Forced Labour Camp.
