Ms. Qin Li Detained for Over 3 Months; Her Elderly Mother Pleads for Help to Rescue Her

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qin Li was tutoring students in her home on December 26th, 2011, when police broke into her home and arrested her. Ms. Qin has been detained at the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Centre in Chongqing, and brutally tortured for over 3 months. Her 73-year-old mother has written a letter to urge people to pay attention to this case and help rescue her daughter. -
Mr. Wei Chaohai and His Son, Mr. Wei Bin, of Sichuan Province Detained in Deyang Prison for Years
2012-04-30Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wei Chaohai and his son, Wei Bin were both imprisoned and persecuted in Deyang Prison. In 2002, Mr. Wei Bin was arrested and sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. He was held in Deyang Prison from 2004 through September 2005, where he was subjected to several methods of torture, including brutal beatings, and being forced to stand for extended periods while facing the scorching sun during summer. In September 2009, Mr. Wei's father, Wei Chaohai was also arrested, and sentenced to seven years. In 2011, he was transferred to Deyang Prison and subjected to continued persecution. -
Mr. Li Quan and His Family from Yunnan Province Have Endured Persecution Since 1999
2012-04-29Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Quan and his family have been persecuted since July, 1999, because they practise and firmly believe in Falun Gong. In 2000, the three brothers in the family went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution and were arrested and sentenced to forced labour. On February 14th, 2012, Mr. Li Quan's home was ransacked again and he was arrested. He is now being detained at Fengqing County Detention Centre. -
More Than 20 Practitioners Arrested in Yantai City
2012-04-29On March 20th, 2012, officers from the Zhifu District Police Department, Yantai City, Shandong Province arrested more than 20 practitioners. Fifteen [15] of them are being held in the brainwashing centre. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents forced practitioners to watch maliciously fabricated video defaming Falun Gong. In addition, they tortured them. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ren Aihua disobeyed the illegal orders after she was arrested. The head of the brainwashing centre, Liu Guoyao, physically abused her by punching, kicking, and hitting her head, face, lower back and other places. Guard Zhang handcuffed Ms. Ren so tightly that the cuffs cut into her flesh. She suffered severe contusion on her wrists and fainted due to the sharp pain. -
Persecution Suffered by Mr. Li Zhenxing from Baoding City, Hebei Province
2012-04-28On August 7th, 2008, I was posting and distributing information exposing the persecution at night when a jeep suddenly stopped in front of me and several men rushed out to surround me. One of them strangled my neck and I nearly suffocated. I was taken to Mancheng Detention Centre. My ankles were fastened with two iron rings welded onto both ends of a rod. There was another ring in the middle of the rod. My wrists were fastened to this ring, crisscrossed. There was a small hole below the middle ring and this ring was secured to the rings on my legs using a 20-cm long wire. Once this instrument was put on me, I could only squat with both hands hugging my knee caps. I could not stand upright. Guard Xu Huilai viciously beat me with a broomstick and the bruises sustained from the beatings took a very long time to heal. -
Crimes Committed by the 610 Office of Mudanjiang City's Political and Legislative Affairs Committee
2012-04-27On March 27th, police arrested Ms. Yan Fenghua because she practised Falun Gong. Ms. Yan was at the police station applying for her husband's death certificate and later was detained without any reason. Her husband had been a practitioner who died as a result of persecution. The third police station and officials from Hailin City took Ms. Yan to a brainwashing centre in Mudanjiang City. -
Ms. Guo Ling Attained a New Life Practising Falun Dafa, but Abuse at Yunnan Prison Renders Her Almost Paralyzed
2012-04-26Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Ling, 55, contracted polio when she was a baby, and the effects of this disease followed her to middle age. She started Falun Gong practice in April 1997. Shortly afterwards, all signs of illness disappeared. After July 20th 1999, Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong this disabled woman experienced several abductions and incarcerations at the Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison for seven years, including forced labour. In October 2011, Ms. Guo was diagnosed with femoral head necrosis and was bailed out for medical treatment. CCP personnel still closely monitored her. She was almost completely paralyzed because of the abuse. -
Mr. Cai Qiliang and Ms. Ma Gaiqin Arrested in Xuchang City, Henan Province
2012-04-24Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Ma Gaiqin and her husband, Mr. Cai Qiliang were arrested recently by Chinese Communist Party police, and the police ransacked their home. There is now no one to care for their elderly family members at home. Mr. Cai and Ms. Ma are currently being held in the Gaoqiaoying Detention Centre in Xuchang City. -
Retired Nurse Sentenced to Five-Year Prison Term – Injected with Unknown Drugs in Yunnan Women's Prison
2012-04-23On May 31st, 2008, while visiting her son Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lei, 52, was arrested by plainclothes police and sentenced to five years in prison. At the Yunnan Second Women's Prison, Ms. Zhang stayed steadfast in her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Instigated by the prison guards, Ms. Zhang was brutally beaten by the prisoners eight times and subjected to torture methods including “hanging up in the air” three times, solitary confinement three times, sitting on a small stool for long periods of time, and was injected against her will with unknown drugs. Ms. Zhang has suffered mentally and physically. -
Police in Huadian City, Jilin Province Arrest Four Middle School Teachers
2012-04-20At around 6:00 a.m. on February 19th, 2012, police officers arrested four Falun Gong practitioners from their homes: Yu Yan and Li Chong and Yang Wenxia and Hu Zhongjing. Their homes were also ransacked. Two elderly female Falun Gong practitioners were also arrested, including Xue Guiqin, who is almost 70 years old. She was sent to a detention centre, but was rejected by the detention centre after having a physical exam. She went home the same afternoon. As of now there is no available information on the situation of the other elderly practitioner. -
Shandong 610 Office Interrogators Use All Means “Short of Live Organ Harvesting”
2012-04-16On February 16th, 2012, Two women practitioners from Laiyang City, Shandong Province were arrested by the Weihai City 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). Agents looted their belongings and interrogated them using torture. Female 610 Office agent Huang Furong threatened, “We will handle you with all means short of live organ harvesting.” Her words indicate that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) harvesting of live organs from Falun Gong practitioners is not a secret within the 610 Office system. -
Mr. Yin Zijing Sent to Forced Labour Camp for the Third Time
2012-04-15After he began practising Falun Gong, Mr. Yin Zijing benefited both physically and mentally; however, since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong, he has been repeatedly arrested and detained. At the end of February 2012, he was taken to the Shandong Province Forced Labour Camp. This is the third time that he has been detained in a forced labour camp. -
610 Office Pressures Family of Elementary School Teacher Ms. Li Xiaoyu Prior to the End of Her 10-year Prison Term
2012-04-14Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Xiaoyu was imprisoned in the West Sichuan Women's Prison of Longquanyi District, Chengdu. Her ten-year prison term is to end on April 9th, 2012, but Jiang Dongtao of the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), has recently demanded that Ms. Li's mother persuade her to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong. The Chengdu 610 Office has sent several practitioners to a brainwashing centre after they were released from prison, and Ms. Li's family fears this will happen to Ms. Li. Ms. Li was brutally tortured in detention because she refused to renounce her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Traumatised by the abuse, she suffered a mental collapse. -
Falun Gong Practitioner's Elderly Parents Arrested For Trying to Rescue Their Son
2012-04-14Zhou Xiangyang's parents, wearing clothes covered in writing requesting release of their son, arrived at the prison gate on their tractor at 8:30 in the morning. The elderly couple was telling passersby about their concern for their son's situation. A number of guards came out of the prison, three holding long batons, and began circling the old couple. They videotaped them, and drove the couple's relatives and friends away. That afternoon, the guards took them to Changli Brainwashing Centre. Zhou Xiangyang was arrested in May 2003, and eventually sentenced to nine years in Tianjin Gangbei Prison, where he was badly tortured, beaten black and blue at night and not allowed to sleep for 30 consecutive days. -
Shulan City 610 Office Arrests Falun Gong Practitioners
2012-04-12The 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and police departments in several Chinese cities used the excuse of “maintaining social stability” to harass and arrest Falun Gong practitioners in March 2012 during the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) two meetings—the National Party Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In Shulan City, Jilin Province, a brainwashing centre was set up in the Grain Bureau Guest House to detain local practitioners.
