After Being Detained for Three Years in Fujian Province Women's Forced Labour Camp, Quan Saizhu Is Still Being Persecuted by the 610 Office

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Quan Saizhu was arrested by officers from the Fujian Province 610 Office, the police department and the provincial prison system. She was sentenced to three years of forced labour. After her release on April 20th, 2007, she was frequently threatened and harassed by police officers and could not return home. The Women's Forced Labour Camp guards deprived her of sleep, forced her to stand for a long period of time, verbally abused her and brutally beat her. She was also forced to do hard labour daily for over 10 hours. -
Five Falun Gong Practitioners in Jilin City Face Prison Sentences after Being Cruelly Tortured
2007-07-28Five Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin City, Jilin Province who were arrested in mid February 2007 were forced to appear at a court session on July 10th, 2007. The police cruelly tortured all five practitioners in attempt to extort confessions from them. They were force-fed with spicy mustard oil, their legs were compressed with spiral steel bars, and police sexually assaulted a female practitioner with a wooden stick. Some practitioners have been tortured until they lost consciousness, but when they came to, they were tortured again. -
Give My Dad Back to Me - Diary of Mr. Meng Fanquan's Son
2007-07-28Diary: April 20th, 2006: Dad was arrested again. This was the fifth time Dad has been arrested. That evening, I was home alone. Seven or eight policemen rushed into my home. They took away my computer, which I use for school work, and my MP3 player. My home was searched and turned upside down. I am so scared. I'm worried about my dad, because I heard there was an uncle that practises Falun Gong in the detention centre. One day he had diarrhoea, but the police refused to let him go to the toilet and told him to force it back. He was tortured very badly. I was shocked by this. I can't imagine what kind of torture Dad will have to go through this time. -
Ms. Li Yunjiu and Ms. Shi Qunyang from Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province Sentenced to Prison
2007-07-28Pengzhou City Police Department in Sichuan Province used the made up accusation of "disturbing social order" to detain Falun Gong practitioners Li Yunjiu and Shi Qunyang at the Pengzhou City Detention Centre. We have recently heard that Li Yunjiu had been sentenced by secret trial to five years of imprisonment, and Shi Qunyang was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Lin Gang went personally to Ms. Shi's residence after she was sentenced to prison and threatened her husband, saying, "If you don't divorce your wife, you will not get your pay." -
Ms. Li Xiaoyan Has Kidney Failure Due to Torture in Shandong Forced Labour Camp
2007-07-28Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiaoyan is being detained in the first ward of the Shandong Province First Women's Labour Camp. Her arms, legs, and face are now swollen due to torture in the labour camp. The doctors say that she now has kidney failure. On June 22nd, she was taken to the prison clinic for a check-up. Tests revealed that her heart was malfunctioning, her kidneys were not functioning, and the protein level in her urine was dangerously high. On January 11th, 2007, she was sentenced to one and one half years of imprisonment and was sent to the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labour Camp. Her 70-year-old mother went to the labour camp several times to see her daughter, but she was turned away each time. -
Two Older Female Practitioners from Huludao City Arrested By Police from Shaguotun Township Police Station
2007-07-26On May 22nd, 2007, two Dafa practitioners, Xiao Shusheng and Wei Mingzhen were distributing leaflets exposing the persecution in the market at Shaguotun Township when they were arrested by police from the Shaguotun Township Police Station. Ms. Xiao's husband tried to visit his wife many times but he was always refused by the police. Ms. Wei's mother-in-law has gone to Nanpiao Police Station to enquire about Ms. Wei's situation, and Ms. Wei's son also went to the detention centre to see his mother, but they were also turned away. National Security Team of Yushu City, Jilin Province Recently Arrested Many Falun Dafa Practitioners
2007-07-26On the morning of July 10th, 2007, police officers from the Zhengyang Police Station broke into the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Man Shujie and Mr. Zuo Zhongren without cause and arrested three practitioners. Later that day police arrested Mr. Cui Zhanyun. He has been arrested seven times. His daughter Ms. Li Shuhua died as a result of torture at the National Security Team of Yushu City and the Yushu Detention Centre. Police in Sanhe, Hebei Province Arrest Mr. Meng Zhaomin and Create Hardship for His Family
2007-07-25On June 4th, 2007, Yang Anle and Yang Xizhong with more than ten policemen from Nancheng Police Station broke into a photo studio operated by practitioner Mr. Meng Zhaomin and his wife. They abducted Meng Zhaomin, and also took a recorder, audio tapes, Falun Dafa books, and recordings. Two days later, Yang Anle and some other police officers went to the photo studio and asked for Mr. Meng's clothes. They said he had been sent to the Langfang Criminal Detention Centre (known to be a brainwashing centre). -
Several Dafa Practitioners in Jilin Province Sent to a Brainwashing Centre
2007-07-25On July 4th at 8:00 p.m., Dafa practitioner Li Xiuwen had just arrived home when two cars stopped by her house. The group was led by Gao Wei, the armed forces minister of Chaluhe Town, Guo Laigang, the deputy chief of Chaluhe Town Police Department, and policeman Liu Guojun. About sixty people gathered around as the police surrounded the home and talked with Mr. Li. Li Xiuwen's mother came out and said, "Why do you want to arrest my son? He is good person." More onlookers came to the scene, and Gao Wei realised that the situation was not good and said, "We will let it go for now." The police then left. -
Persecution Experiences of Mr. Liu Guoquan from Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province
2007-07-24Police came to my home and carried me into a vehicle. A police officer stepped on my head until we arrived at the county government building. They wrote something and attempted to force me to sign it. I refused. The policemen handcuffed me behind the back, and one person on each side beat me. I was knocked down to the ground. They stepped on my head. That same night they sent me to the Shuangchen Detention Station. It was very cold, but they stripped me naked. They poured cold water on me for a long time. I was shivering from the cold. After suffering 15 days of such torture I was sent to Harbin City Wanjia Concentrated Training Team for another five days. Then I was sent to Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. -
Examples of How the Police "Arrest" Falun Gong Practitioners in Wuhan City, Hubei Province
2007-07-24In March 2004, Jin Zhiping, the chief of the Qiaokou Police Precinct, led other officials to secretly arrest Falun Gong practitioners Huang Zhao and Liu Ning at their home and search it. Huang Zhao was tortured to death within 24 hours at the Qiaokou Police Precinct office. The police blocked all information about this. Even Huang's family was not informed. Liu Ning escaped from the police office and told her parents that she had been arrested. At that time, none of them were informed about Ms. Huang's death. Her father immediately went to see Jin Zhiping at the police precinct office and asked for her. Jin was astonished: "How do you know Huang is here?" Jin then deceived her father by saying that she was fine. Actually, she had passed away days earlier. After two weeks, the police could no longer cover up the case. Finally, they informed Ms. Huang's family that she had died, but lied and said that she had committed suicide. -
Five Practitioners Battered by Torture are Brought into Court on Stretchers to Stand "Trial"
2007-07-23On July 10th, court hearings were held in the Chuanying District of Jilin City in Jilin Province for five Dafa practitioners. They were all so severely tortured that they were carried into the courtroom on stretchers. All five had been tortured for two days in the Yuesanlu Police Station. Ms. Zhao Yinjie was poked by an electric baton and force-fed mustard oil. Di Shigang, the director of the National Security Bureau, force-fed practitioner Wang Liqiu eight bottles of mustard oil. Practitioner Zhao Guoxing was force-fed horseradish roots and beaten with a steel bar. His kneecaps and calves were seriously injured. Practitioner Liu Yuhe was tortured until he could no longer walk. More than 20 policemen beat Mu Chunhong and force-fed her two bottles of mustard oil. -
Two Courts in Jilin Province Hastily Hold Large-scale "Trials" of Arrested Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-07-22On July 10th, 2007, the Chuanying District Court in Jilin City, Jilin Province, found many Falun Dafa practitioners, who had been arrested, guilty of the false charges that had been brought against them. On the same day, the Changyi Court in Jilin City sentenced many practitioners including Guo Yunqing, and one with the surname of Fu, who had been persecuted and had to sit in a wheelchair to participate in the trial. It is the first time in Jilin Province that two courts put practitioners on trial at the same time. The authorities violated standard legal procedures and only allowed attendance by one person from each family of those on "trial." -

2007-07-21Dear Lei: How are you? Ever since I began practising Falun Gong, I learned the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance which have brought more harmony and joy to our home. However, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute us, it created a lot of unhappiness. Many times, I was arrested, detained, and sentenced to prison terms. What happened to me has brought hardships to you and our family. You and the children and relatives all suffered a great deal, including tremendous financial losses. All that is not supposed to be a burden for us to carry, but has been forced upon us by the Community Party. Someone may say, "If you don't practise Falun Gong, everything will be all right." However, when I turn it around, I ask, "If the Communist Party stops persecuting us, would I need to speak out for justice for Falun Gong?" -
Hong'an County Police in Hubei Province Break Into Homes and Arrest Practitioners
2007-07-20On July 22nd, 2007, more than 100 Hong'an County police officers made a midnight assault on Falun Dafa practitioners under the direction of the Huanggang City Police Department and the 610 Office in Hubei Province. Police broke into Mr. Liu Hongsu's home, and brutally beat both him and his wife and ransacked their home, stealing a computer and other personal possessions. They left a broken lock and a mess in their home.
