  • Please Pay Attention to a Developing Story: An Appeal with 300 Thumbprints Sent to Politburo

    Please pay attention to the developing appeal on behalf of a Falun Gong practitioner in which the thumbprints of 300 villagers were sent to the Politburo. This has shocked the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The petition urges the authorities to release Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong. Mr. Wang was arrested on February 25 after police found a Falun Gong CD in his home in Zhouguantun Village, Fu Town, Botou City, Hebei Province.
  • Chinese Communist Regime Uses Tour Guides to Deceive and Threaten Visitors to Hong Kong

    A practitioner and his wife from mainland China went on a trip to Hong Kong in April 2010. Being part of a tour group, they noticed that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents were posing as tour guides to spread malicious rumours and lies to the tourists. This particular person, claiming to be a tour guide, is from the Shenzhen Tourist Company. He said that practitioners who speak with tourists about Falun Gong in Hong Kong do not have regular jobs and have been hired to do this work. They also said that the people talking are not real practitioners and that whoever listens to or reads their materials will not only be punished themselves, but they will also implicate others in the same tour group.
  • Disbarred Chinese Lawyer: True Loser is the Legal System

    The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice in a hearing on April 22nd revoked the law licences of two attorneys, Tang Jitian and Liu Wei, both of whom are well-known for defending Falun Gong adherents and others who are disenfranchised in China. Prior to the hearing, Tang Jitian spoke to reporters outside the courtroom. He characterized the situation as just another attempt by the authorities to intimidate and suppress lawyers. In actuality, he said, the authorities were only jeopardizing their own moral and legal credibility with the people of China.
  • Party Officials in Deyang City Force Residents to Sign "Pledge Card"

    Since this March, the Deyang Municipal Party Committee in Sichuan Province and the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) have been forcing residents to sign "pledge cards" against Falun Gong and are distributing brochures attacking and slandering Falun Gong. In the Guanghua community at Dongshanbei Lane, residents who receive low-income financial assistance are forced to sign pledge cards against Falun Gong. Otherwise, their payments are withheld. In the Fourth Team of Nanxing town, most residents have signed the pledge card. They were told that if they did not sign, their children cannot join the army or go to college in the future.

    In the morning of April 25, 1999, over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners began to gather in neat order outside the State Appeals Office in Beijing, close to Zhongnanhai, the CCP's central government compound. They sought a return of the open environment to practise Falun Gong that they had enjoyed for years, and more specifically, the release of dozens of practitioners who had recently been arrested in nearby Tianjin City.

    On April 25, 1999, more than ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to peacefully appeal. Several months later, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Jiang Zemin, using this event as a pretext, launched the persecution of Falun Gong. This brutal persecution is still going on in China.     In its 2009 Annual Report released last week, the U.S. Government's Congressional-Executive Commission on China thoroughly documents the continued and intensified targeting of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese security apparatus over the past year. The section on Falun Gong cites, in particular, the involvement of top Chinese Communist Party officials in directing a "strike hard" campaign against Falun Gong, as well as the robust activity of the extralegal 6-10 Office in carrying out such directives.

    According to a reliable source, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) recently transferred criminal justice students in colleges nationally to Beijing in succession as "servers" and turned taxi drivers in Beijing into armed police. The party claims this is necessary to ensure the safety of the Olympic Games. On the one hand, it exposes how the CCP wants to destroy more people as they kidnap the students and force the taxi drivers into being armed police in the public security system, risking their lives. On the other hand, it exposes the desperate state that the CCP is in, fearing every living thing is their enemy.
  • Villagers Who Support Justice Threatened in Liaoning Province

    On May 1st, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Jing Yongan was arrested by police because he hung up a banner exposing the persecution in the village. Mr. Jing is now being detained. Villagers from Daolan Village wrote a letter to higher officials to plead for Mr. Jing's release. In response, the Politics and Law Enforcement Office and 610 Office of Kangping County went to the village to "investigate" the case and threatened the villagers for trying to support justice.
  • Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province Police Arrest and Beat Local Residents for Reading Falun Gong Leaflets at Lantern Festival

    It was March 4th, the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. Tens of thousands of residents gathered to enjoy lanterns and fireworks in Shiji Square in Dongfeng New Village, Daqing City. Over one thousand undercover police and armed police were among the crowd. Practitioners distributed free handouts that informed people about the true nature of Falun Gong among the crowd. It was quite risky. They could have been arrested if they were discovered. The police arrested some residents for reading the handouts. Several of them were sent to the Daqing City Detention Centre. The police beat them before questioning and interrogated them the whole night without allowing any of them to sleep.
  • Falun Dafa Practitioner Bian Fusheng Dies After Suffering Persecution for Several Years

    Since the evil regime started suppressing Falun Gong on July 20th 1999, Bian Fusheng, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province, and his whole family suffered ongoing persecution just because they practised "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Seven family members were once illegally sent to forced labour camps or prison. His daughter Bian Yaping was arrested many times and illegally sent to a labour camp for two years. Later, she was sentenced to five years in prison for distributing leaflets. Ms. Bian is still imprisoned at the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison.

    On May 12th 2006, I went to Kaifeng City, Henan Province for a business negotiation. My business partner was a woman, and we talked freely. After a little while, I switched our topic and told her about Falun Gong. When I mentioned the staged self-immolation event in Tiananmen Square, unexpectedly, my business partner told me that she was a next-door neighbour of Ms. Liu Chunling, one of the victims of the event who died of a fatal blow to the head from a policeman. She then told me many things about Ms. Liu Chunling.

    My name is Wang Xiaoyang and I am a Chinese student studying in Switzerland. I have three close relatives in China: my eighty-four-year old grandmother, my sixty-year old father who has not been well, and my fifty-four-year old mother. My mother is a Falun Gong practitioner and is the centre of the family, who provides both financial and spiritual support. They are ordinary law-abiding citizens whose only desire is to live a peaceful life.
  • Employees of the Children's Art School of the Hunan Province Department of Culture Are Forced to Defame Falun Gong

    February 21, 2005 was the starting date for a new term at the Children's Art School of the Hunan Province Department of Culture. Just one week later, the young students in the No. 4 Calligraphy and Painting class were surprised to find that their very popular teacher, Ms. Gong Xianghui, had disappeared. Their teacher, Ms. Gong, is a Falun Gong practitioner. The school administration fired her because she refused to sign the so-called "safety responsibility letter," which contained statements that defamed Falun Gong.
  • High School Affiliated with Chongqing University Uses Slanderous Article to Poison the Minds of Children

    On January 19 2005, right before the winter break, the high school affiliated with Chongqing University gave every student a short article slandering Falun Gong as homework over the break. The students were told to transcribe the entire article and encouraged to enter writing contests by writing similar articles. Students who did not complete the homework would not be allowed to attend school the following term. This approach used to poison the minds of children made many people very upset.
