  • Germany: MPs Submit a Resolution Condemning the CCP for Using 'Re-Education Through Forced Labour' to Brainwash its People

    According to a report by Deutsche Welle (DW) on March 15th, 2006, German MPs from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Free Democratic Party (FDP), and the Green’s Party have jointly submitted a resolution to the Federal Parliament condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) system of forced labour education. Based on a report by Florian Toncar, spokesman for the FDP and member of the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee, stating that all parliamentary parties had reached a unanimous agreement and that in early May the parliament will have voted to pass the severely critical resolution.
  • Ireland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong and Depicting the Charm of Traditional Chinese Culture During a St. Patrick’s Day Parade

    Invitated by organisers, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in County Laois. Their depiction of the beauty of Falun Gong and the charm of traditional Chinese culture won Best Culture Award. Nearly ten thousand people turned up to watch the parade despite the weather.
  • Germany: People in Passau Condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s Trade in Organs Harvested from Living People

    On March 16th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Passau held an activity to expose the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Upon hearing about this, many people felt it was unbelievable that nowadays such bestial cruelty still existed in China and immediately signed practitioners' petition.
  • Sweden: Falun Gong Welcomed at an Iranian New Year Gathering

    When the practitioner mentioned Falun Gong, the girl asked, "Why is Falun Gong practised by so many people around the world and why does China ban it? Is Falun Gong really like what the newspapers and TV in China say?” When the girl heard about the Chinese regime’s trade in organs harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners, who are imprisoned simply because of their belief, she was very shocked.
  • Chairman of the Peace and Culture Association in Spain Condemns the Persecution of Falun Gong

    "All reports by the Human Rights Committee of the UN, the Parliament of the European Union, the Parliament of NATO and organisations of human rights such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Observation have mentioned the cruel violation and persecution of the most basic human rights by the CCP government. It has caused many innocent people to suffer from the persecution because of their faith. As the Chairman of the Peace and Culture, my mission is to vindicate the freedom of all people, respect the truth, respect justice equality and tolerance. Such a situation of suppressing individual freedom in faith by force, I firmly oppose it."
  • Austria: Supporting Justice without National Boundaries

    On March 17th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners came to Stephansdom Cathedral in Vienna city centre to hold activities. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and set up banners and display boards to expose the CCP’s crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and called for the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
  • Germany: Letting Bielefeld Know about the Persecution of Falun Gong

    “Why is he sitting there?” asked a pedestrian. He wanted to know why a young Chinese man sat on a chair in the pedestrian zone. There were crutches right next to his chair and he held up a piece of paper that said, “Ask questions of a labour camp survivor.” Initially, the man could not make sense out of this scene but slowly he opened up and a long conversation ensued.
  • Ireland: Falun Dafa Group Win Best Cultural Entry in Port Laoise St. Patrick's Day Parade

    2007 in Port Laoise was the first time that Irish Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the St. Patrick's day parade. The presentation of the Falun Dafa meditation practice accompanied by beautiful traditional Chinese dancing and thunderous Chinese drumming was warmly applauded by the audience.
  • Russia: Raising Awareness about the Persecution in the Republic of Karelia

    Over the weekend, Falun Gong practitioners set up banners and display boards, and talked to passers-by about the brutal persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, as well as the huge tide of quitting the CCP that is taking place in China. A young practitioner demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Passers-by stopped to read the display boards. Some chatted with Falun Gong practitioners, and some took the leaflets home to read.
  • United Kingdom: Liang Wenjian and Husband Illegally Detained by the CCP

    Liang Wenjian and her husband have been illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp by the Public Security Bureau in Guangzhou City. Before this, their family members were neither officially informed or allowed to see them. They had no idea where the couple were locked up. As soon as she heard the information, Jane Liang, Liang Wenjian’s sister, a British citizen, sent a letter to the UK government .
  • Profil Magazine (Austria): Lost in Transplantation

    Following his recent interview with the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on Torture, Manfred Nowak, Robert Misik of Profil, the second largest magazine in Austria, published an article detailing Matas and Kilgour’s finding that a source of organs in Chinese transplants is Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Nowak, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights’ Special Rapporteur on Torture, demanded a response to the series of allegations from the Chinese government within the week.
  • Germany: "I never expected that the Spectacular would be so brilliant!"

    A month before the Spectacular began, Ms, Xu, whose age was, more or less, the same as Ms. Sun, lived at her daughter’s house. Ms. Xu, who was similarly elderly, came to the city to promote tickets for the Spectacular. Ms. Xu got up at seven in the morning every day. She just had instant noodles and then went out. She did not come home until midnight. When she was back, she had instant noodles for her dinner. Ms. Sun did not say anything. Before her daughter and son-in-law, she praised Ms. Xu: “For the sake of others, such a spirit of enduring hardship is so valuable, I do admire her!”
  • Turkish Falun Gong Practitioners Visit a Women’s Association Conference

    On March 6th, 2007, a Women’s Association held a conference in Mersin and over one hundred participants attended. Falun Gong practitioners were also invited by the conference organisers to participate in the conference and submitted a document to appeal to the Chinese authorities to end the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Austria: Falun Gong Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference in Vienna

    On March 18th, 2007, the fifth Austria Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Vienna. Many new and veteran practitioners shared their understandings. New practitioners shared their experiences of begining the practice, as well as taking part in a car tour to tell people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Germany: Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Art Exhibition at the Saxon Federal State Parliament

    On entering the glass doors of the Saxon Federal State Parliament building, what comes immediately into view is a huge portrait of a Buddha with a compassionate smile. This art work was painted by Professor Zhang Kunlun, a Falun Gong practitioner in Canada. It is one of the works displayed at the Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Art Exhibition held at the Saxon Federal State Parliament in the State Capital Dresden.
