Germany: Small Town of Halle-Saale Happily Greets Falun Dafa Practitioners

Practitioners held activities to expose the facts about the persecution in China to people in Halle-Saale, a small town in Germany with a long history. Petitions calling for putting an end to the persecution and urging the Chinese Communist regime to release the illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners Wang Xiaoyan and Jiang Renzheng were filled one after another. -
The German President Talks about Human Rights with his Counterpart Hu Jingtao in Beijing

On May 24th, 2007, during the second day of the German President Horst Koehler’s first visit to China, he had a closed door talk with the Chinese President Hu Jintao for over one hour in which he mentioned China’s unsatisfactory human rights situation to his counterpart. According to a member of the entourage, when meeting with Hu Jintao, Koehler stressed that every political regime needs its people’s trust, and that the respect for human rights can strengthen its people’s trust in the government. He also recounted that during Hu’s visit to Berlin in November 2005 they had already touched upon this topic and made it public at the press conference in Berlin. -

Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest against the Russian Authorities’ Illegal Repatriation of United Nations Sponsored Refugees

On May 25th, Falun Gong practitioners went to the Russian Embassy in Stockholm to protest against the Russian Authorities' repatriation of Falun Gong practitioner Professor Chunman Gao. Swedish Falun Gong practitioners at the Russian Embassy warned solemnly that the Russian authorities should not cooperate with the CCP to persecute Falun Gong. -

2007-06-02Famous Canadian international human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia Pacific) David Kilgour validated the claim that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is harvesting organs for profit from Falun Gong practitioners in China with their independent investigation report published in July 2006. Jewish himself, David Matas compared the persecution of the Jewish people during World War II to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners when he was interviewed by Sound Of Hope Radio Station in Germany. -

As soon as I received the visa sent by the German Embassy, I found the envelope had been torn open. In July, staff of the “610” Office [known as the 'Chinese gestapo', the 610 Office was created specifically to persecute Falun Gong] came to have a talk with me. The subject was mainly that since I had been given an exit visa, I had to serve China by taking some photos in Germany for them. -

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Gong Day in Sarajevo and Inform the Public about the Falun Gong Genocide in China
2007-06-01Practitioners from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia organised two events to inform the public on May 12th and 13th, 2007, in the centre of Sarajevo. The people of Sarajevo were given the opportunity to learn the Falun Gong exercises, to talk to practitioners and to read Falun Gong flyers and posters. Moreover, the people of Sarajevo learned about the genocide committed over the last eight years against Falun Gong practitioners in China as well as about the systematic organ removals from living Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps and prisons. -

Germany: German Federal President Requested to Lodge a Complaint Concerning the Labour Camp System During his Visit to China

German President Horst Koehler was asked to lodge confidently and publicly a complaint concerning human rights during his May 23rd to 26th state visit to the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The International Society for Human Rights (ISHR), encouraged him to include this subject on his agenda, as well as lodge a complaint regarding China's labour camp system. -
Slovakia: Introducing Falun Gong to the People of Banovce nad Bebravou

On Saturday May 26th, 2007, Slovakian practitioners of Falun Gong visited the city of Banovce nad Bebravou in western Slovakia. They set up a petition table with information material and started to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises, attracting a lot of attention. About fifty people signed the petition against the persecution of Falun Gong in China. -
Poland: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Protest in Front of the Parliament During Wu Bangguo's Visit to Warsaw

During the visit of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politburo Standing Committee Member Wu Bangguo and his party in Warsaw on May 24th, 2007, members of the Polish Parliament invited Falun Gong practitioners to demonstrate when the CCP delegation arrived. Their presence sent an effective message to the CCP officials. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners from the Ex-Soviet Union Protest against Russia’s Illegal Deportation of a UN Refugee
2007-05-30Large numbers of people living in Germany are from the ex-Soviet Union. With Falun Gong spreading, some of them have also started to practise Falun Gong. On May 15th, a group of German Falun Gong practitioners from the ex-Soviet Union submitted a letter of protest to the Russian Consulate in Berlin condemning the second case of forcibly deporting a Falun Gong practitioner with UN refugee status to China. They called on the Russian government not to submit to both economic and political pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and not to serve as an accessory in persecuting Falun Gong. -
Nexus (Croatia): Genocide under the Olympic Flag
2007-05-30Nexus, a Croatian magazine for alternative medicine and spirituality, in its issue, no. 18, April - May 2007, published an article entitled "Genocide under the Olympic Flag: Horrible Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in China." The author of the article asks why China's government started the persecution against Falun Gong in 1999 and why are practitioners today subjected to arrests and torture, despite the fact that many practitioners have been cured of chronic sicknesses, became healthy and have raised their spirituality according to principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. -
Over 30 UK Parliamentarians Sign a Petition Calling for the Freedom of Wenjian Liang
2007-05-29A total of 34 UK MPs, Lords, and MEPs have signed a petition calling for the freedom of Wenjian Liang, who together with her husband Zhiyong Lin, have been sent to labour camps in Guangzhou in March 2007 for “illegal gathering” with six other Falun Gong adherents in her own home. Among the parliamentarians signing the petition are the Rt. Hon. Charles Kennedy MP, who was the former leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Rt. Hon. Lord Steel, who was the first Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament and a former leader of the Liberal Party.
