  • UK: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Explain the Facts by a Local Amnesty International Group in Leeds

    Falun Gong practitioners were invited by Amnesty International in Leeds to attend their meeting on March the 18th. The practitioners introduced the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China to the participants at the meeting. The Amnesty members were deeply shocked by the practitioners’ personal experiences and the scenes of persecution shown in the Video-CDs.
  • Switzerland: Promoting Falun Gong and Explaining the Facts in Biel City

    On March the 20th, Swiss Dafa practitioners held activities in Biel City to promote Falun Gong and let people know the facts about the persecution. Local newspapers and radio stations also came to interview the practitioners. The radio stations made a positive broadcast of Falun Gong’s activities to promote the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
  • Russia: Telling the Facts to the Precious Chinese People

    Many Chinese people visit Irkutsk. Most go to the shopping square downtown. In the beginning, they were not very interested in the truth-clarification materials that we had placed in the shops, but now it is much better. Most are willing to take the newspapers and Video-CDs that explain the truth about Falun Gong. We also hang up banners reading “Falun Dafa is good”, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” and “Falun Dafa will bring you a Beautiful Future.”
  • Before the Meeting of UN Human Rights Commission, International Human Rights Organisations Held a Human Rights Dinner and Dance

    Through beautiful music and dance, the human rights evening hoped to remind people of the continuous violations of human rights in other parts of the world. Taking place before the meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission, the human rights evening appeared more meaningful.
  • Swiss Members of Parliament sent Speeches to the Falun Gong Anti-Persecution Press Conference in Geneva

    On March the 15th, Mr. Ueli Leuenberger, member of the Swiss Federal Parliament, and Ms. Maria Roth-Bernasconi, councillor of Geneva State, sent speeches to the anti-persecution press conference held by Falun Gong practitioners at the Places Des Nations. In Mr. Leuenberger’s letter, he indicated his support for practitioners’ efforts to promote the value of human rights in China.
  • Poland: Falun Gong Practitioner’s Painting Exhibition Brings Brilliance to Ancient Warsaw

    At the beginning of March, Ms Zhang Cuiying, a well-known artist of traditional Chinese painting from Australia, held a two-day exhibition in the Polish capital. MP Paul Poslus made an opening speech at the exhibition. Many representatives of the media, including Polish National Television, TVP, RMF-FM radio, the Polish Daily and Journal, reported on the exhibition.
  • Switzerland: The Sounds of Singing Drift in the Geneva Spring Rain

    On the 14th of March, the eve of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, the streets of Geneva were busy with people despite continuous rain. From afar, I heard the sound of singing. Following the voices, I found a wonderful street-concert taking place in the rain. The song “Coming For You” attracted many residents, tourists and representatives participating in the Human Rights Commission.
  • Sweden: Introducing Falun Dafa at a Prison

    At first they gave an introductory class in which they demonstrated the exercises and told inmates about Falun Dafa and how in 1999, China’s former President Jiang Zemin banned the most popular qigong-practice in China’s history as he was jealous and afraid of losing people’s hearts, hearts that were his by fear and terror. The inmates could hardly believe the harsh situation for illegally detained practitioners in Chinese prisons.
  • Finland: Appeal at the Chinese Embassy to bring the Chief Criminals to Justice

    On March the 22nd 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki appealed at the Chinese Embassy calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China and for the chief criminals responsible for instigating this atrocity to be brought to justice. Legal action has already been taken against them in several countries.
  • Sweden: Promoting Falun Gong in Uddevalla

    Recently, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in the small but beautiful city of Uddevalla to let the local people know about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution against the practice, which has been happening for almost five years in China. Practitioners handed out flyers and collected petition signatures from passers by.
  • Switzerland: Dafa Practitioners promote Falun Dafa in Bern - Compassion Appeals to Public Opinion

    A lot of people looked carefully at the Dafa display boards and chatted about their contents. They were deeply shocked by the pictures detailing cruel torture. A lot of people signed their names on a petition form straight away after seeing the display boards and voluntarily asked for information in different languages.
  • Russia: Ms. Zhang Cuiying's Painting Exhibition is Held in Irkktsk

    Zhang Cuiying's Chinese Brush Painting Exhibition at the Artists Centre in Irkktsk, with its theme of “Peace, Beauty and Pounding Hearts,” was formally inaugurated at 4 p.m on March the 18th. It is the first in a series of painting exhibitions to be held in Russia by Ms. Zhang. The exhibition lasted two days, and on the second day Ms. Zhang gave a painting demonstration.
  • A Short Drama Performance in Geneva Touches University Students’ Hearts

    On the 16th of March, the Geneva University Falun Gong Association held a large “Falun Gong and Human Rights” photo exhibition in Geneva University. At lunchtime, Falun Gong practitioners performed a short play in the centre of the hall with students from Geneva University. The drama touched the hearts of the university students deeply.
  • Introducing Falun Dafa on the Shores of Lake Evian in Geneva

    Again we set up Falun Gong information booths alongside Lake Evian. The weather had changed to beautiful sunshine and we were able to distribute flyers, speak to those who showed interest in Falun Gong and tell them the facts of the persecution. Everywhere there were little groups of practitioners either practising the exercises or sending righteous thoughts.
  • New Tang Dynasty TV Interviews Zhao Ming at the Annual Irish Students’ Human Rights Conference

    The second annual Irish Students’ Human Rights Conference was held in Dublin at the end of February. Guest speakers included human rights officials, activists, and researchers from England and Ireland, as well as UN human rights officials. Mary Robinson, former UN High Commissioner for human rights, made a speech at the conference. Zhao Ming is a Falun Gong practitioner who recently obtained his MSc in Computer Science from Trinity College in Dublin. As a victim of human rights violations rescued from China, he was invited to make a speech in the conference. He also accepted an interview with NTDTV reporters.
