Besides the local Hong Kong practitioners, Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan, Macao and America also participated in this activity. Some of them came to Hong Kong for a concert on October 24 and 25 in Hong Kong. They didn't even have time to change costumes before starting to Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - sent forth righteous thoughts, this can be understood as a type of meditation] together. It rained from time to time, but the practitioners sat together in an orderly fashion until the candlelight vigil ended at 6AM the next morning.
The peaceful sitting protest will continue until midnight October 27, 2002.
