Tyler is a small and quiet city of east Texas and it is also called "City of Rose" of America. The people of the city are friendly and kind. On October 19, 2002 the small city welcomed a group of guests with rich sense of justice.

The team of seven practitioners of the Atlanta-Birmingham-Tyler-Houston "Rescue Our Family Members and Get Them Home" route drove 10 hours and arrived in Tyler on October 19th. The practitioners of the Route from Washington DC and the nearby practitioners also came to join them in Tyler. In the afternoon, the practitioners held a press conference and introduced Falun Dafa to local media and exposed the brutal persecutions against honest Falun Gong practitioners in China. They called on the President to request Jiang's Regime to stop the persecution during the summit meeting.

Resident of Georgia Mr. Lu Chaohui's wife is currently detained in a forced labour camp in Guangdong province. She was arrested while distributing truth-clarification flyers in the street. In the labour camp, she was beaten and forced to work very long hours in a knitting factory for a Chinese Import and Export company. The extremely harsh working conditions almost made her lose her eyesight.

Professor Xu was from Tsinghwa University (Beijing). He is currently a resident of Maryland. His wife was also detained into Beijing Women's Forced Labour Institute because of distributing flyers. From November 2001, he had not heard anything about her. Their son, a 13-year-old student, has to live in Beijing without parents.

"Rescue Our Family Members and Get Them Home" is another endeavour the practitioners made to end the persecution. Following the principle of "Truth Compassion Tolerance", their peaceful and persistent endeavour is well recognized by the public and the society. The largest local newspaper "Tyler Morning Telegraph" and local TV channel 7 KLTV interviewed the practitioners.
