Falun Gong Performance Leaves Favorable Impression on Those Attending Edinburgh Art Festival

Scotsman, the largest newspaper in Scotland, posted a front-page photo report about Falun Gong practitioners' fan dance performance at the annual Art Festival, which began on August 4, 2002. The world famous Art Festival Parade attracted nearly 200,000 visitors.

Falun Dafa practitioners were scheduled to be the 18th to perform, and the practitioners demonstrated the peacefulness and beauty of Falun Dafa through their dance. Wherever the practitioners' procession passed, there would be a round of applause and the host's praise. In the end, Falun Dafa practitioners won first prize for their group performance.

During the one-hour parade, many visitors were impressed by Falun Dafa's beauty and peacefulness. A Chinese friend of a practitioner said, "Your procession is large and spectacular, giving us great entertainment. It was so pure." Another Chinese person said, "I'm a Party member, but I am not as unselfish as you are." A young girl, after watching our parade, made a phone call to her mother in China, telling her about Falun Gong's performance at the Art Festival being received so well and changing some of her family's misunderstandings about Dafa. We realized that we could use different ways to validate Dafa so that more and more people would learn the truth about Falun Dafa.
