On the morning of September 3rd, 2011, Ms. Wang Yujie from Wuhan City, who was only 24 years old, passed away as a result of brutal torture.

Arrested and Sent to Forced Labour Camp for Being a Good Person

Ms. Wang Yujie began to practise Falun Gong in 2006 at the age of 19. On March 11th, 2010, she was arrested while she was posting notices exposing the persecution of Falun Gong next to Manchun Police Station. She was slapped in the face by officer Chen. Her personal belongings were taken and she was detained for 15 days in Wuhan City First Detention Centre. Later, she was secretly transferred to Erdaopeng Brainwashing Centre in the Jianghan District by the Jianghan District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong).

When her mother, also a practitioner, went to the police station to find out where her daughter was, she, too, was arrested. She was then taken to the brainwashing centre in Hubei Legal Education Centre and persecuted for nearly two months.

On April 2nd, 2010, Ms. Wang, who was then 23 years old, was secretly sentenced to one year of forced labour and detained in the 6th Division in Hewan Forced Labour Camp in Wuhan City.

Brutally Tortured in Forced Labour Camp

In the labour camp, team head Hu Fang ordered drug offenders to torture Ms. Wang. She was forced to squat for six days and nights. She was monitored by drug offenders who deprived her of sleep.

Because she remained steadfast in her belief, Hu Fang ordered drug offender Cao Wenli to break her left leg and hit her in the head. After that, Cao Wenli and another convict, Zhou Yan, handcuffed her, shocked her with an electric baton, beat her for 40 minutes, and pulled out a huge clump of her hair.

Guard Hu Fang dragged Ms. Wang into the oven room in the hot summer and left her on a baking bed for over 12 hours, from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. She was drenched in sweat and nearly fainted from the heat. Her head felt as if it was going to explode. The excessive heat harmed her greatly.

She was forced to do slave labour in the factory and was monitored 24 hours a day. She was also not allowed to talk to anyone and was not allowed to see her family even once.

Further Persecuted in a Brainwashing Centre

Ms. Wang was supposed to be released on March 11th, 2011. That day at around 9 a.m., Wang Yang, Xiantao City 610 Office head, and Zhou Guohuai, head of the Domestic Security Division, drove to the forced labour camp and seized Ms. Wang. They took her to the notorious Hubei Legal Education Centre, a brainwashing centre.

In the brainwashing centre, she was again threatened and brainwashed by Liu Cheng. She was also forced to write a statement renouncing her faith.

Ms. Wang started to feel unwell and had trouble walking. She was also in great pain, but the police refused to release her. Zhang Xiuming, the brainwashing centre head, forced her to give up Falun Gong and even forced her to practice another form of qigong with him.

After being subjected to two months of brainwashing, on April 29th, Wang Yang from Xiantao City 610 Office and Xiao Aiyun from the Domestic Security Division escorted Ms. Wang back to her hometown in Xiantao City, Hubei.

Soon after she returned home, Ms. Wang began to experience excruciating pain in her forehead. She was in extreme pain and felt as if she was about to collapse. She kept sweating all the time. She threw up whatever she ate. This continued for four months. She finally went to the hospital and was given an injection but it was useless. Her hands curled up and she started to cramp. Her eyes hurt and she became blind. After months of suffering, she finally passed away on September 3rd; she was only 24 years old.
