On the occasion of the twelfth annual World Falun Dafa Day celebration, New York State Assembly Member, Felix W. Ortiz, issued a Citation recognising the month of May 2011 as Falun Dafa Month and recognising Master Li Hongzhi as an outstanding individual who is certainly worthy of esteem of the great State of New York.
Whereas, a Great State is only great as those individuals who give exemplary service to their community, whether through participation in voluntary programs, through unique achievement in their profession or other endeavors or simply through a lifetime of good service; and
Whereas, Master Li Hongzhi teaches Falun Dafa, a cultivation of the body and mind, which he just introduced to the public in 1992; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced by people of all ages, all walks of life, and religious beliefs and its practitioners follow the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives, striving to become better people; and
Whereas, the teachings of Master Li Hongzhi has touched the lives of numerous individuals, improving their quality of lives; now therefore be it
Resolved, that as a duly elected member of the New York State Assembly, I recognize the month of May 2011 as Falun Dafa Month and I further recognize that in
