By a practitioner in Germany

On the Internet I read an article about a student murderer in Erfurt, which has been reported many times in the past. The news reminded me of the terrorist attack in New York. One of our practitioners has written a report about the September 11th incident, in which she mentioned that she visited the scene of the disaster, where the victims’ photos were laid in token of the condolences and wishes to them. This practitioner then laid a newspaper by the name of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. This also reminded me of these words of Master Li: “The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.”

I believe I can understand Erfurt residents’ bewilderment, shock and sorrow. I have this kind of sentiment whenever I read reports concerning the persecution, torture and cruel killing of women, men and children who practise Falun Gong in China. A wish arose from the deep bottom of my heart – to tell the people in Erfurt about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and the truth about Falun Gong.

Many practitioners thought that my suggestion was very good. Thus they supported me and were happy to join in. We rented a car and prepared a large banner reading, “The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. There were also many practitioners joining us from other cities. The place we used, near a square tower in front of a huge cathedral, was the site where we held an activity last July. When police passed by and asked us why we organized this photo-exhibition activity, I told them something about Falun Gong, its principles and the persecution happening in China.

We demonstrated the exercises to the people there, distributed materials and talked to people from various countries. Some Chinese practitioners made bookmarks at the booth, attracting a large audience. Standing in front of our SOS banner, people quietly looked at the harmonious exercises. I believed they must have felt our inner peace---this is what we have achieved through our understanding of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Judging from their smiling eyes whilst reading the large banner, we could tell that they supported us. I thought that after these people went back home and talked to their family members about us, they might say: “Yes, the world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and forbearance!”

Finally, some practitioners signed their names on the banner reading “The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”, and then carried the banner to the school where the murders took place several weeks ago. This was a spontaneous idea to tell the people in deep grievance that we were thinking of them and that it would be wonderful if everyone could follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. This also symbolized that evil will never overpower good.

As I stood in front of the school and looked at the banner reading “The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”, I was deeply moved, and further understood why I should sponsor this Information Day in Erfurt.
