Ms. Li Huijuan, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested on the evening of May 20th, 2009, when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong in Leiyang City. She was later sentenced to one year of forced labour and detained in Baimalong Woman Forced Labour in Zhuzhou. During the 2010 Chinese New Year, deceived by the guards, she accepted two cups of milk. She immediately became confused, and her memory faded dramatically. On March 12th, she was sent home because of her mental disorder.

While in the forced labour camp, Ms. Li had refused to give up her belief. When her family was called in to take her home on March 12th, she had facial oedema and was sometimes clear and sometimes confused. She alternated crying and laughing.

Since returning home and practising Falun Gong again, her condition has improved. A few days after she got home, two one-inch long needles were expelled from the bottoms of her feet. She couldn't recall whether she had been given any injections in the forced labour camp.

Ms. Li has suffered a lot of hardship when she was young. Her husband divorced her because she had incurable diseases. Before practising Falun Gong, she even thought of committing suicide. A practitioner introduced Falun Gong to her. All the symptoms of her diseases were gone after she started to practice. She became healthy and more broad-minded. She took care of her child and her father with the little income she made by selling and renting books.

People involved in persecuting her:

Jiang Songlin, Chen Mingzhi, police from Leiyang City Domestic Security Division

Wan Xiaoyun, deputy head of Leiyang City Detention Centre

Guards at Baimalong Forced Labour Camp: Long Liyun, Zheng Xia, Liu Xueying, Zhu Rong, Hu Rong, Li Hui, He Hongling

Inmates: Wang Qin, Gao Lisha, Jiang Li, Liu Yuer, Huang Yougui, Liu Meili, He Jin, inmates No.169, No.160, No.131, and No.167

Note: Practitioners Wen Xiaoping, Dai Liyun, and Liu Tiegua also suffered brutal mistreatment at Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. Wen Xiaoping also had a mental breakdown.
