"It's a beautiful show and we're very proud to have it in the Milwaukee Theatre - very happy," said Richard A. Geyer, president and CEO of the Wisconsin Center District, the complex in which the Milwaukee Theatre is located.

The Milwaukee Theatre is the city of Milwaukee's home for cultural and civic events and therefore is the perfect venue for Shen Yun Performing Arts, a New York-based company that tours the globe, bringing the best of classical Chinese culture to audiences worldwide.

Attending the show on Friday, April 23rd, Mr. Geyer enjoyed the beauty of Shen Yun Performing Arts. Mr. Geyer truly appreciated the profound cultural experience which Shen Yun brings to his city. "I think it's important that people understand the culture [of China]. There has to be more of that understood," said Mr. Geyer.

He said he appreciated, "The scenery, and the performers - they're beautiful. I liked the embroidery [Elegant Embroidery], with the girls - it's just beautiful, so beautiful. The boys are very good dancers, with the arrows [Imperial Archers], practising for the war ... very good."

Business Owner Praises Shen Yun

"The show was excellent. I loved it!" exclaimed Barbara Wanless, owner of Steinway Piano Gallery. "The beautiful dancing - I loved it. Beautiful, beautiful costumes and I mean it told a really wonderful story," she said, after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts for the first time on Friday, April 23rd.

Music has always been very important in Ms. Wanless's life. Besides being the owner of the Steinway Piano Gallery, she plays the piano, the harp, and sings with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She greatly appreciated hearing the Shen Yun orchestra. "I really loved the orchestra, it was great." She felt that the combination of Western and Eastern instruments was very well done.

Ms. Wanless was pleased that her company could help contribute to the show, and very proudly said, "That was our pretty piano on stage tonight."

Ms. Wanless was greatly impressed by the show and wished to invite others to "come and enjoy and learn ... learn the Chinese culture and the Chinese ancient dance and see for yourself."
