Seventy-four-year-old Mr. Peng Chuhao was arrested and secretly confined to Changde Jinshi City Prison by Domestic Security agents from Louxing District Police Department some time in late January 2010. On March 4th, Changde Jinshi City Prison informed Mr. Peng's family that he was in a serious health condition. However, Mr. Peng still remains imprisoned to this day.

The prison continued the persecution by coercing Mr. Peng to be sent to the Jinshi Prison Hospital. Mr. Peng continued to resist. He is currently frail and thin beyond recognition from torture.

Because he practised Falun Gong, he was often persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities. In October 2004, he was imprisoned in Loudi City Prison by the 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] in Louxing District, Loudi City. In a court session on June 17th, 2005, the authorities sentenced Mr. Peng to three years probation under false accusations.

In October 27th, 2007, undercover police from Loudi City Public Security arrested Mr. Peng while he was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. However, Mr. Peng was able to escape that night, and the police escalated his probation to full criminal charges.

Soon after Mr. Peng's escape, Zhu Jingwen, the CCP secretary of unit 418, cooperated with the 610 Office and froze Mr. Peng's retirement income. In the following two years, the police continued to harass, extort, and conduct searches in the homes of Mr. Peng's children and relatives, causing severe disturbance to their lives.

On December 2nd, 2009, Mr. Peng was arrested by the Loudi City Shuanfeng County police as he was distributing leaflets in a local shop. He was immediately taken to the Louxing District Police Department and imprisoned at their primary detention centre. Li Gangjun, the deputy chief of Louxing District Police, submitted "evidence" of Mr. Peng's violation of probation to the Louxing District Court. On December 3rd, 2009, the Louxing District Court convicted Mr. Peng and sentenced him to three years in prison. Mr. Peng was confined to Changde, Jinshi City Prison in January 2010.
