Around 7:00 p.m. on March 2nd, 2010, two daughters of late Falun Gong practitioner, Mr. Jiang Xiqing, were arrested again because they went to the the agents of the Chongqing 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and the Chongqing Jiangjin District 610 Office and called for justice to be served.

On March 2nd, 2010, Ms. Jiang Hong, the older daughter of Mr. Jiang, and Ms. Jiang Ping, the third daughter, filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Chongqing First Middle Court.

After filing the lawsuit, they said goodbye to their attorneys at the Jiangbei Airport. They then realised that they had been followed by the police. The officers, after being discovered, offered them a free ride back to the Jiangjin District. They refused the offer and instead took a bus to the Caiyuanba Bus Station where they would take another bus to the Jiangjin District. They were arrested right after they stepped off of the bus.

On March 3rd, the family demanded they be freed in front of the Jiangjin District Political and Judiciary Committee and the Jiangjin District Police Department. The authorities denied their request at first, then Wan Fenghua, the secretary of the district Political and Judiciary Committee, said, "They will be free if they write a statement promising they will not hire an attorney; otherwise, they will be 'educated' for more than ten days."

When Ms. Zhang Xiaoyue, daughter of Ms. Jianghong, appealed alone for the release of her mother for a second time in front of the district Political and Judiciary Committee, Wan Fenghua threatened her, saying, "We will arrest you if you come again."

Ms. Jiang Li, the fourth daughter, lives in Shanghai, and her attorney called the officials at the Political and Judiciary Committee and the police department. The attorney received mixed messages; some denied they would release the women. Some replied that they would be freed if they guaranteed to not hire any attorneys.

Mr. Jiang from the Jiangjin District in Chongqin died at the Chongqing Xishanping Forced Labour Camp on January 28th, 2009. Since then, his family has been seeking to establish the cause of his death and dealing with constant interference from the authorities. Officers arrested Ms. Jiang Hong on August 28th, 2009 (see http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2009/9/12/110737.html).

Ms. Jiang Hong and Ms. Jiang Ping are still imprisoned.
