Agents from the Mudanjiang City Political and Judiciary Committee and the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) have been harassing and arresting Falun Gong practitioners in the name of the two high-level conferences for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They directed the police department's domestic security division, along with police stations, to make the arrests. Five practitioners were confirmed to have been arrested recently as a direct result.

Xiangyang Police Station officers entered the home of Ms. Zhang Ping's mother at noon on March 1st, 2010, claiming that they were collecting a sanitation fee. They arrested Ms. Zhang Ping, who was helping her mother clean the house, and took away a printer and other personal belongings.

Ms. Zhou Zhirong from Muling, who lives in Mudanjiang City, was arrested on March 1st, 2010. Police are now staked out in her shop.

Three other practitioners, including Zhang Jiliang, Liu Xianghua, and Sun Yingxia, were also arrested on the morning of March 1st, 2010.

To our knowledge, these five practitioners are still being held at a detention centre.

Several more practitioners were harassed, including Xiao Ping, who lives near the Yangming District No. 2 Middle School. She was harassed and had her computer confiscated on the morning of March 1st, 2010. Another practitioner, Ms. Zhuang Xiuhua, was also harassed at noon on March 1st, 2010. We heard that she had been arrested also.

Ms. Li Cuilan from Donghailin, Qiaobei, had her home ransacked on February 21st, 2010. She is now living away from home to avoid being arrested. We have also learned that a practitioner who was arrested by the police had his legs fractured, and is now in a police hospital.
