Turkey: Outdoor Art Exhibition Exposes the CCP's Persecution

July 20, 2009, is the day Falun Gong practitioners around the world commemorate the 10th anniversary of their efforts to protest the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of the practice. Practitioners in Turkey held a Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition on Seashore Boulevard in Mersin to expose the brutality of the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP.

Visitors to the exhibition were deeply touched by the artwork. Falun Gong practitioners told them how the CCP has persecuted practitioners over the past years, including harvesting their organs when they were still alive.

A well-dressed young man spent almost two hours studying every piece of artwork. He eventually approached the practitioners and told them he wanted to make a donation to assist their efforts to end the persecution. Practitioners thanked him for his kindness and told him about Falun Gong and the persecution in detail. They told him the best way to help was to tell everyone the true story of Falun Gong. The young man said he would tell everyone he know about the CCP's crimes. He would also write to the Chinese Embassy and condemn the persecution.

Some people who took fliers as they passed went back to show their support. A middle-aged man happened to pass by on a motorcycle. After hearing about the persecution, he said in anger, "I knew the CCP was barbarous, but I didn't know it was so cruel!" A woman told the practitioners, "I will always pray for you. The persecution should end immediately."

Park security guards and city administration officials showed great support. All the informational materials that practitioners had brought with them were taken by the end of the activity.
