While practitioners were busy tidying up after a successful day at South Park when the activity finished at 5pm, BBC television broadcasted a special report on all Jubilee celebrations in and around Oxford. Viewers who missed the day’s event were given the opportunity to see the brightly coloured Falun Dafa group and the warm reception it received from the people of Oxford.

The television camera captured everyone who took part in the Falun Dafa group as well as all the messages on the banners. People who lined the street waved and gave the group their thumbs up; applauded as the group went pass; throwing rice and coins to the lotus flower. The crowd loved the dancers and they wasted no time in capturing them on film. The cameraman was particularly thoughtful when he filmed practitioners handing out Falun Gong leaflets to the people. He made sure the viewers can see clearly the front page of the leaflet. The reaction from the crowd clearly indicated that they thoroughly enjoyed the display and no doubt the image of Falun Dafa has now found a place in their hearts.

In the evening, the organisers sent a ‘thank you’ email to a local practitioner. Part of the content of which is as follows:

Dear Denise

Firstly I would like to thank you and all your colleagues and the dear children for the wonderful effort put into your stall, chi gong exercise and meditation plus arena event on Monday this week. It was all so beautiful and your stall proved to be one of the most popular ones on the field. Everyone found the Chinese writing of their names enchanting.

Once again, thank you all for the hard work which I know you enjoyed. Also, please thank your friends who came so far to be in Oxford on Monday.

See you soon.

Pat and Mike Moon
