May is Asian Heritage Month. On May 27th, to help its employees learn more about Asian culture, the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City invited Falun Dafa practitioners in Missouri to give a presentation about the ancient Chinese cultivation practice.

The seminar was held at a Chinese restaurant in Jefferson City, with about 60 department employees in attendance. First, a practitioner gave a Power Point presentation to inform people of the spreading of Falun Gong around the world and the 10-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. She then introduced the Falun Gong exercises, with several practitioners demonstrating them.

During her presentation, the audience was very quiet and everyone listened and watched attentively. After the exercise demonstration, people asked many questions regarding how they could learn the practice and help end the persecution. Practitioners' thorough answers received many rounds of applause. During the Q/A session, a practitioner shared how Falun Dafa had improved her physical and mental health and her sharing received warm applause.

When practitioners asked who would like to have more Falun Gong informational materials, most of the audience raised their hands immediately. Practitioners' hand-made lotus flowers attached to Falun Dafa bookmarks were also very popular. One lady asked practitioners if they could practice the exercises with her from then on. When she got a positive answer, she was very happy.

At the end of the seminar, employees of the Department of Corrections were very satisfied, some hugged the practitioners and some discussed the possibilities of future meetings to learn the Falun Gong exercises.
