On May 11th, 2009, Mayor James Atebe of the District of Mission, British Columbia, Canada, proclaims May 2009 as Falun Dafa Month.
District of Mission Council Resolution - May 4th, 2009
Whereas, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind and body, and spirit based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and
Whereas, more men and women of Canada are learning the practice and purifying their hearts, energizing their bodies, and striving to create virtuous communities; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa transcends culture and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant, and more compassionate society; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners' determination and courage to stand up for Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the District of Mission hereby proclaims May 2009 as
