The Touso Festival started in 1962. Touso means ceramics in Japanese. Every year, many tourists come to the festival to buy ceramics.

Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth at the festival, clarified the truth of Falun Gong, and exposed the brutal persecution of the practice in China. Many visitors learned the truth and condemned the persecution, and some learned the exercises.

On the 18th, the mayor and several government officials came to the festival. Practitioners gave them some truth-clarifying materials and told them about the persecution. The officials encouraged practitioners to keep up their efforts to end the persecution.
