Finland: A Voice For Justice in the Cold Winter

On February 14, 2009, volunteers from the Northern European Quitting the Party Service Centre and some Finnish Falun Gong practitioners came to the central railway station in Helsinki to support the 50 million Chinese people that have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party. They also condemned the various crimes committed by CCP; as well as called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioners displayed banners reading "God will eliminate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)", "Quitting the CCP to protect your lives; Support 50 million people who have quitted the CCP" and other banners. They displayed posters, and practitioners used speakers to disclose to the public that from the beginning of 1999, the CCP has been brutally prosecuting Falun Gong practitioners who practise truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance. Practitioners distributed "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and at the same time told people that since 2004, after the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" was published, near 50 million Chinese people have made announcements to quit the Chinese Communist Party.

Many passersby were attracted and stopped to look at the pictures exhibition depicting the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. After understanding the truth, people one by one made their signatures to support an immediate end to the persecution.

A family from Estonia asked practitioners for details with regard to the prosecution of Falun Gong as well as the situation of Falun Gong practitioners’ live organ harvesting by the CCP, and asked how they could be of help. When they heard that 50 million people have quit the CCP, they repeatedly said, "That's wonderful! wonderful!" They were also pleased to accept the English version of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party".

Once they were aware of the truth, in addition to the shocked reaction, they often immediately signed up to oppose the persecution. After a couple heard that Falun Gong practitioners suffered brutal torture, they not only signed their names, but also asked, "What can we help?"

After reading the information, a woman said, "You are doing a good job." After conversation, the practitioners learned that she was from Amnesty International, she said, "We all know that the CCP is so bad". She added, "I must sign."

At the same day, a young man from mainland China not only picked up the Chinese version of "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and the Epoch Times, but also requested the practitioners to help him of issuing a statement in the Epoch Times Web site, to quit the Young Pioneers organization and erase the imprint of the evil party.
