The Little Helper Is An Instrument Of the Fa Used In Our Clarifying The Truth And Saving Sentient Beings

I obtained the Fa in early 2005. As soon as I obtained the Fa, I immediately read through all of Master's articles, from which I understood the reason why I had practiced t'ai chi for 30 years, but was still at the level of qi. From childhood, though I had always done good things for other people, been able to endure hardships and never cared when I lost out, tribulations I encountered were getting more severe. I was too emotional that someone had told me to eliminate those bad things of ordinary people, but I could not do it. Dafa has guided me to cultivate myself. Though I feel that I have obtained the Fa late, deep in my heart I am determined to catch up with my fellow practitioners and become a Dafa disciple in the period of the Fa rectification.

I study the Fa and do the exercises every day. Whatever I do, I do it according to the standard of a true practitioner. Suffering physically and mentally, I work hard at the three things (study the Fa [the teachings of Falun Dafa], send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and about the persecution to the world's people) and try hard to remove all my attachments and so-called postnatal habits. The experience I have gained through these few years of genuine cultivation has led me to be even firmer in believing in Master and the Fa. I have deeply felt the meaning of “Cultivation depends on one’s efforts, while the transformation of Gong is done by one’s master.” As long as I am confident of doing the three things well, Master will give me guidance and strength and make me a selfless enlightened being.

With the progression of the Fa rectification, I think it is far from enough to just cultivate myself well. Clarifying the truth about the illegal persecution in China to save all sentient beings should be regarded as an integral part of cultivation, and the process many attachments can be removed. For example, the sense of contending, sense of impatience, sense of joy, sense of comfort, sense of seeking fame and gain and attachment to money, as well as various sentiments. I was not able to remove all these attachments even though I wanted to in the past. I have been able to remove them gradually over recent years. Dafa has made me change fundamentally just as Master wrote in Zhuan Falun: “As a truly-determined practitioner, one is able to endure everything and give up or care less for any attachment in the face of various self-interests. As long as one can do this, it will not be difficult.” I wish to share with you some of my personal experiences gained from the process of cultivation.

The Truth-Clarification Instrument of the Fa Blossoms Everywhere.

The Little Helper, developed by Dafa practitioners, has become an instrument of the Fa used to perform auto telephone broadcasting to people in China. It has played an important role in raising awareness to the people in mainland China. It is both convenient and labour-saving. On the other hand, the people in mainland China who have been living under the suppression of the evil Party for several decades want to know about the truth, though they are scared. The feedback from people in mainland China is that they are not afraid of listening to a telephone broadcast. At the same time, this has laid a good foundation for our fellow practitioners living in mainland China to tell people the truth and to urge people to quit the CCP and its associated organizations. They asked fellow practitioners living in overseas countries who have such conditions as finance and time to join together to make truth clarifying telephone calls to the people in mainland China.

With the active participation of fellow practitioners throughout Europe and tremendous technical support and help during the past two years, there are practitioners in almost every country who are using the Little Helper. A practitioner in Germany has helped to install the Little Helper during his off-work time and weekends for Western practitioners living in an area of a few hundred kilometers in circumference. Sometimes he helps fellow practitioners to install the Little Helper until 11 or 12 o’clock at night and sometimes he makes many visits to the practitioners until he succeeds in the installation. There are practitioners in various countries who offer technical support in the same way like him, which is very touching to me. I use a remote control technique to help install the Little Helper for those fellow practitioners living in countries where there is no technical support. All of us have worked together and made the Truth-clarification Instrument of the Fa blossom everywhere in Europe within just a few months.

Each project for the Fa Rectification inevitably encounters interference. Master wrote in Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference: “The evil takes advantage of the slightest gap and glares menacingly at every single word and action of yours. Whatever you're attached to, that's what the evil beings will strengthen.” In the beginning, like everybody else, I sent telephone broadcasts with the Little Helper through free or low rate web service companies. This gave an opening to the old evil forces who took advantage of the web service providers. While negating the old evil forces, I examined myself inwardly to find any faults of my own. I gave up my attachment to money and terminated my two-year contract with the web service company that had just been signed. With Master's help, I soon switched to a better telephone service company. I installed eight Little Helpers and they were all running well. Just then, my sense of joy and comfort started to grow. A few days later when I woke up, I found that there was something blocking their operation, or the telephone call packs were all dialed completely but without actually being connected and sometimes the computers froze. All at once, I realized that my attachments had given an opening to the old evil forces.

At that time, I wanted to ensure the Little Helpers worked well and I would always get up to check them in the middle of the night. For a period of time, I was often woken from my sleep by a loud telephone ringing and I got up immediately to check the Little Helpers. I knew that the Law Body of Respected Master was helping me. After a period of time, I would wake up myself about every hour to have a look at the Little Helpers. This tempering has helped me a great deal with my cultivation. My understanding is that the operational state of the Little Helpers has a lot to do with the personal state of my cultivation and righteous thoughts. The Little Helpers are intelligent and should be taken care of by way of sending forth righteous thoughts and reading the Fa beside them. In this way, the computers or hardware would rarely malfunction. In order to ensure the normal operation of the Little Helpers of my fellow practitioners, I keep helping them with their technical problems online from home after I get off work every day.

Sometimes I would fix more than a dozen Little Helpers in one night. I would help my fellow practitioners whenever they were in need. Normally, I could fix the problems at once. Some fellow practitioners felt embarrassed to ask me for help. I said to them that it was of utmost importance to ensure the normal operation of the Little Helpers. If the Little Helpers do not run for one day, one or two hundred truth-clarification phone calls would be missed, and if the Little Helpers do not run for one year, fifty to sixty thousand truth-clarification telephone calls would be missed. It would be a shame. The people in mainland China are all expecting our telephone broadcasts. Saving people is an ugent matter.

Setting Up Bases for the Little Helpers

Since the introduction of setting up bases for the Little Helpers last year, the bases have been set up in all European countries, among which there are personal bases for several Little Helpers, bases for tens or several tens of Little Helpers, and major bases for more than a hundred Little Helpers. This has not only enabled many Little Helpers with problems of time and technique to revitalize their roles but also enabled our fellow practitioners with no time or without suitable a family environment to participate in the project of using the Little Helpers to clarify the truth. They manage their own accounts. They can enquire about the performance of the telephone calls. All this is operated by our specialists. In recent years, with sudden incidents increasing in China, the bases have played a great role in rescuing fellow practitioners who are illegally arrested and detained. Within just a few days, more than one hundred thousand telephone broadcast calls are sent to the same area at the same time, enabling all the local residents to know about the bad deeds done by the evil Party. The feedback from mainland China tells us: “we have learnt of so many incidents that have happened in various places. The evil Party is very unpopular and its doomsday is near.”

Since the establishment of the bases, the Little Helpers in my family have increased from a dozen to more than one hundred (equivalent to the last year’s amount of telephone calls sent through one hundred and fifty Little Helpers). Because the number of listeners is very big and the length of listening time is extended, there is a very big increase in the number of listeners who have listened to the whole broadcast, the feedback information and the quitting of the CCP and its associated organizations. The Little Helpers run 13 to 15 hours a day with twenty to twenty-five thousand telephone calls. More than one thousand people have listened to the calls from beginning to end with more than one hundred pieces of feedback information. There are also people pressing the telephone keys to quit the CCP and its associated organizations after listening to the telephone calls. The major bases are managed mainly by German practitioners with the participation of our fellow practitioners in many countries in Europe. Some of them have been engaged in the management for a long time and some have just newly participated. In the early part of this year, the online telephone call packs were downloaded less frequently because everybody was busy with other projects. Our bases have been running and there has not been a single computer stopping the operation. When we go out on our activities, we always keep our computers on and the Little Helpers start working automatically at the set time.

During the time when many of our fellow practitioners in mainland China were arrested and persecuted by the evil Party in the name of the Olympic Games, they needed our help. It was a pity that many Little Helpers were not working. At this time, one of our fellow practitioners increased the previous three service lines to twenty lines at once. He said rescuing people was urgent and it was time to use the money when it was needed most. At that time, I had fifty Little Helpers in operation. Without being content with the status quo, I expanded the bases at once. One practitioner, whose husband was not a practitioner, said to him: “I will not waste money. I will use my savings on the Little Helpers”. She then increased the number of telephone lines. Another practitioner, a graduate who had just found a job, said: “Now I have some spare money to put in the bases”. Still another practitioner, having carefully considered how much he could offer to support, said that he could contract for some more lines as he had not done this before. Some of our fellow practitioners participated in the bases with their savings offered in one go. One of the Western practitioners was a university student. He offered part of his living expense for the bases. There are numerous examples in this respect. Everybody has to experience passing the test of Loss and Gain in his or her mind. Up to now, there are fifty to sixty practitioners who have participated in our bases. Everybody knows about the urgency of saving people and it will be too late if we do not seize the time.

It requires a very strong sense of righteous thoughts and responsibility to manage such large bases well. We have been maintaining the operation with the strengthening power of Master and with the assistance and support of the participating practitioners and the Internet service companies. In the beginning, the tribulation came from the Internet service companies. Now we practitioners have our own Internet service companies. I am in charge of two hundred accounts in Europe. It is of utmost importance to keep our Internet service companies in normal operation. I work together with my fellow practitioners and whenever any faults are found, I will notify them to troubleshoot them. Sometimes when our Little Helpers started to run at midnight, troubles were found on the Internet. But it was in the morning and this happened once at the weekend. I thought they might still be sleeping, but we need to run our Little Helpers. I contacted our fellow practitioners here in Europe and asked them to stop running the Little Helpers for the time being. An hour later, I finally got in touch with them. They said they did not know how long it would take. I asked if they could help connect to other lines as the stoppage would affect several hundred Little Helpers with several thousand telephone calls. It was then three o’clock in the morning. I thought I could go to sleep for a little while since we could not make the telephone calls anyway. I woke up at five o’clock and had a look again. Ten minutes after my request, they switched to other lines. I really regretted that I had not held on and caused the stoppage of the base for more than one hour, with two thousand telephone calls missed.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the base, I work on the night shift. I often sleep for two to three hours. I go to see how the Little Helpers are working every hour. Sometimes, I will change the telephone packs every ten minutes in the night. Then I make use of the interval to make phone calls to rescue those illegally detained fellow practitioners. Sometimes I make the phone calls for several hours to rescue one or two cases of illegally detained fellow practitioners. There are many days that I can only sleep for one or two hours a day.

I think that our fellow practitioners in mainland China are risking their lives to clarify the truth and a few hours less sleep is nothing to me. It is really worthwhile to bring this instrument of the Fa into full play. My fellow practitioners trust me and have made me take up this mission. I should do it well. It is my promise that I should keep studying the Fa and practicing the five sets of exercises every day. My wife takes care of the Little Helpers during the day. She has shared part of my work over the past year. When our fellow practitioners come to ask for help during the day, she can help fix some simple technical troubles.

I have listened to the Master's teaching to the Australian practitioners several dozen times. Master has taught us so clearly. We would be letting Master down if we cannot do well. In fact, being a Dafa disciple, there is not any attachment that I cannot give up when I am prepared to give up my life any time for defending the truth of the cosmos. Master has told us the truth in Zhuan Falun: “the entire cultivation process for a practitioner is one of constantly giving up human attachments.”

In conclusion, let me quote Master’s Hong Yin II to encourage each other in our endeavours:

Hurry Up and Speak

Dafa disciples, speak the truth,
From your mouths, sharp swords all at once shoot forth.
Piercing through the lies of rotten ghosts,
Seize the moment to rescue and save – hurry up and speak.
