United Kingdom: 2008 UK Falun Gong Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference in Cambridge

On August 24th, 2008, the UK Falun Gong Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Cambridge, practitioners from all across the UK travelled to attend. About twenty Chinese and western practitioners gave speeches to share their experiences on studying the principles of Falun Dafa well, improving their character and raising awareness about the persecution.

Sharing cultivation experiences at the conference

A practitioner from Birmingham shared his experience of getting rid of human notions, viewing things with righteous thoughts and treasuring opportunities. He also talked about his understanding during the process of reporting on the 2008 London Gala Spectacular. At that time, due to many restrictions from the theatre, it brought difficulties to report this event, but practitioners still completed the work with wisdom. Dr. Liu said in his sharing that, "We must place the Fa rectification tasks first; of course, we should do our best to consider the environment and not to disturb the audience while watching the Gala.” When on the surface, things conflict with Fa rectification requirements, it is not impossible to harmonize the situation. The key is whether we base our thinking on the standpoint of the Fa or of ordinary people. Exaggerating conflicts may be a result of not having completely understood the all-encompassing nature of Falun Gong or Master’s arrangements during Fa rectification. If we believe in Master and the Fa completely, we can make the best use out of any thing or conflict in front of us in order to achieve the goal of saving sentient beings. "

Ms Zheng from London talked about her experience on telling the facts and facilitating withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party in Chinatown. Facing different people with different attitudes and notions, she truly felt that, people can feel it if we treat people with a pure compassionate heart. This compassion also allowed many Chinese people to change their attitudes and accept information about Falun Gong.

Ms Chi from Kent shared her experience on how to face the numerous difficulties at the beginning in her newly participated project and the improvement of Xinxing and the understanding on the Fa in the process from the frustration of lack of confidence to overcoming the difficulties. In response, she enlightened that; a practitioner must have the courage to face difficulties. Only if do we believe in Master and believe in the Fa, we can eliminate interferences. If we can do our work with a pure heart assimilating to the Fa, then Falun Gong will show the miracle.

Many western practitioners also shared their experiences on looking inwards, being compassionate towards fellow practitioners, letting go off ego, cooperating with each other well, and so on.
