A Firm Belief in the Truth is Unshakable: A Practitioners Experience In Detention

On the eve of the 2002 Chinese New Year, I was taken by force and detained at the Zhangshi Education Camp in Shenyang City. I went on hunger strike and was brutally force-fed. A rubber tube was inserted into my windpipe (forcing "food" toward my lungs rather than the stomach) several times in a life threatening manner. Yet they would not give up trying to insert the tube.

Six people held me down, continuing to brutally force-feed me. While one held my head, the other five held my limbs and body. They stopped only when I lost consciousness.

I heard that they were even crueller to other practitioners.

In those 18 days, they failed to make me give up my belief. About half of those whom they had brainwashed and sent to persuade me were re-awakened to the truth, and started to practise again. This caused the vicious people to be so scared that they did not know what to do. They invited a traitor who had deceived many practitioners to come by and try to coerce me with lies. Every day a different dean would come on duty. Every day the political committee would call to get updates, but they could not do anything with me. They simply had to release me unconditionally.

I would like to thank those who helped me during that process, including my relatives, police officers and security staff. I mean to expose those who committed evil against others and me.

For example, Zou Shun, a 26-year old brainwashing class leader, even had his wife, who is a practitioner, arrested. One day she agreed to see him but refused to listen to his crooked reasoning. He reported her to the police and asked them to arrest her. She was locked up in the brainwashing class straightaway.

I hope he and others can correct their horrible mistakes and become kind-hearted with righteous minds.
