The 108th St. Patrick's Day Parade in Boston was held on March 16th. More than 850 thousand people watched the three-hour-long parade. Thirty-seven bands and other groups walked the 3.2-mile parade route. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of local Falun Gong practitioners, was invited to perform for the first time.

The Divine Land Marching Band led practitioners' entry. Four practitioners dressed as celestial maidens performed traditional Chinese dances. The dragon-dance team followed the celestial maidens.

Many spectators had high praise for the practitioners' performances. Mary Hennessy of Randolph, MA, a second generation Irish-American, watched the band with her daughter. She said the Divine Land Marching Band was the one of the best that she has seen in recent years. David Harney, who has lived in the US for 15 years, also said the band was unique.
