On Tuesday, February 12th, 2008, twenty male and female performers from the company of Shen Yun Dancers arrived at Dusseldorf airport from New York. They began their European tour with the opening night of the Chinese Shen Yun-Show, on February 13th 2008, and continue with a second show on February 14th 2008 in Duisburg.

Fifty performers in all, among them world class male and female dancers, members of the Divine Performing Arts, the famous Tenor Guimin Guan, Soprano Bai Xue, Contralto Jiansheng Yang and many others will perform in the European Galas. They will bring to life the long forgotten Chinese culture with delightful dances that have their origin in China’s different dynasties as well as the various Chinese ethnic groups.

“We are delighted that we can bring the Shen Yun Show to a number of European cities,” said Leeshai Lemish,” the host of the show. “This show is a first in the world and can’t be compared to any other show that originates in China. Also, this show cannot be seen in China. Alas, many of China’s traditions have been lost. With this show, people will not experience only the superficial form of China’s traditions, but the true spirit of China.” An American will introduce the show in the Chinese language, while a female Chinese will introduce the show in the German language.

‘The scenes are completely different from prior years”, said Guimin Guan. “The Divine Performing Arts has and will continue to evolve and change. This year there are two groups from the Divine Performing arts touring the world. I am glad that we, the group from New York can bring to Europe the best scenes of the show.”

The Divine Performing Arts, who received an invitation from the Falun Gong Association, are looking forward to their European tour. This is the first time that they tour so many European cities. The European main performances will be given in Duisburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich
