On the morning of December 24th, 2007, a group of Turkish Falun Gong practitioners staged a peaceful protest against the Chinese Communist Party and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners at the Chinese Embassy. The persecution has lasted for the past eight years in Mainland China.

During the one hour protest, practitioners distributed leaflets to the policemen on duty, passersby and reporters who came to cover the event,to expose the atrocities committed by the Chinese regime against Falun Gong practitioners over the past eight years or so. The rest of the practitioners also demonstrated the peaceful fifth Falun Gong exercise - a sitting meditation.

The peaceful exercise music attracted a lot of people’s attention. On the balcony, some of the Chinese Embassy’ clerks also secretly watched practitioners practicing the Falun Gong exercises. Two Chinese people who happened to come out of the Embassy also stopped to watch.

Some local people and the policemen on duty were interested in learning Falun Gong. They asked practitioners how to practice the exercises one after another. After answering all their questions, practitioners gave each of them a copy of an exercise instruction CD.

When the activity was over, the practitioners also visited the Security Bureau to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP's atrocities of illegally harvesting living Falun Gong practitioners’ organs to sell for profit.

Two local TV stations and some reporters from local newspapers also came to cover these activities.
